| Kimura did an excellent job.
I am a Kimura fan. I've seen him in most of his dramas. I am also a Mushashi fan. Most Musashi films/dramas are extremely serious. I was prepared to see a serious depiction of the events. I was delightfully surprised. I had thought that this would be only serious, but there are sweet and humorous parts throughout it which made it extremely enjoyable to watch for all. You don't have to be a Mushashi fan to enjoy this. All the characters were nicely developed. The acting was superb. However, if you are looking for a serious Mushashi film, then perhaps this is not for you. Otherwise, for those who enjoy a laugh here and there, this is highly recommended.
