  • Well, maybe I had higher hopes for this one than I should have had. I mean the film isn't completely awful but it's not good. I'd say this is a film to watch ONLY IF there is zero else to watch or do.

This story takes place right when King Arthur dies, Morgana takes over Camelot, Lancelot was banished and both Merlin & Guenevere are imprisoned - the rest of the knights must save Guenevere, Merlin and Camelot. It's new take on the old tale.

I will give them an "E" for Effort, they took the film seriously and did the best they were able to do on a small budget. I normally love quite a few of the "B" films - but this one gets a bit boring (that is my reason for not rating it higher).

    4/10

DRAGONS OF CAMELOT is another cheap fantasy flick made in North Wales with a local cast and non-talented actors who look the part but don't really have any depth to them, not that the lacklustre script helps. This is a concoction of Arthurian themes and legends, with characters popping up along the way. Morgan Le Fey is the villain, of course, and duels Merlin in one cheesy scene. The film is quite obviously a GAME OF THRONES wannabe and there's a CGI dragon in it; the effects are a little better than I was expecting leaving this the best thing in it. Sadly, the rest is rarely above the level of your ordinary pantomime. What a surprise that this was directed by Mark L. Lester, the man who once made the likes of CLASS OF 1984 and COMMANDO.

Not sure you want to learn about Camelot by way of this movie. So while the filmmaker might have chosen more wisely how and where to spend the little money he had (maybe it's the only story they gave him money for on the other hand), it's still a very low budget movie. So do not expect polished special effects or anything like that.

There is a lot of over the top "acting" (if you can call it that), one not being able to act if his life (or that of the character he's portraying for that matter) depended on it - literally. The props are not really good either, but you can't blame them for trying. People do get killed in a sort of graphic way (there is blood "spilled", digital that is). Even if sometimes you get a bit of nostalgia with this trying to tap into 80s movies and their "group on a mission" mentality it never achieves that.

    Crap.
This would have have to be one of the worst movies i have ever wasted my time watching. The battle scenes ? 12 people on each side. Was the budget for this film $100 or less.

Don't waste your time on this,The acting is awful and no name stars. Why do people waste money making such Crap.

The cgi looks like someone cut and pasted Castles onto pictures in the background. The editing is also dreadful.

Please watch something else, don't waste you time on this film. If the actors got paid for this it was a scam. The sets looked like they where made of Foam rubber. Just awful.

Shame I cannot give it zero.

It was partly funny for the first 10 minutes I put up with it.

A cast of few. Terrible, atrocious acting. If you have to watch it insist that you are paid to do so and tied to your chair. That is the only way you will get through it.

The plastic bendy swords are worth watching out for tho, that did give me a chuckle.

Don't waste your time or money.

    Wash your hair

Being a big sword and fantasy fan, as well as being a fan of anything to do with King Arthur or Dragons I had to give this a look. It's not great, the budget must have been fairly small, the story is pretty formulaic, and it's pretty clear where things are going, and the characters thinly drawn, though the actors seemed to be doing the best with what they had. The battle scenes are basic, though I thought the final battle was quite lively. There were some nice looking castles showcased and I thought the Dragon CGI was pretty successful, though it's a shame they didn't have the budget to give them more to do. So kind of cheesy, but if you're a fantasy fan, it's okay way to pass 80 minutes if you don't expect too much.

First of all the "dramatic" acting with pointing fingers and hands, the body language of the actors was horrible. The plot simple and everything foreseeable. Let me put it this: I watched about five minutes of the movie and I thought, it might be a children's movie. Or grown-ups with simple minds. I don't want to waste more than these five minutes on the "movie". The fighting was awful.. some people running with their swords and looking into the air. Every movement or expression on their faces was just exaggeration.. if someone looked angry, it was REALLY angry looking, to show he was angry... I think it was acting from the twenties, when people didn't have much experience with movies and everything had to be theatrical to show what really was meant. I'm glad I didn't pay for this movie, but wasted only a few minutes of my life to this crap.
  • Crap movie. I didn't thought i would watch something so damn bad like this movie.

It's a shame that we couldn't go back in time, this 2 hours i wasted will make a huge difference in the future.

Please, don't even think in waste your time with this huge piece of crap, it's for sure the worst movie ever made.

The actors are the worst, everything in this movie is bad, even the name if you watched it, so i can only be sorry for you, i'm sorry for every person who wasted their time watching a movie that is so bad that make me wanna cut my eyes off and never use them anymore, this is the WORST!

Hard to believe its the same director as Commando and Firestarter. I knew it would be pretty bad, but could not get through it!
  • It's rather shocking how pedestrian everything here is, considering they had an established Hollywood blockbuster director.
  • Nonsensical film editing, they've put together frames that don't work together at all jump from wide angles to close shots, from static to handheld. If you don't watch it as a movie, but just to be amazed at on how bad it is, then it's fun . Acting awful too. And villager's'clothes and streets and hairstyles are way too clean and new, they look like made of felt.

Its just so bad. Feel sorry for the actors. Got nothing else to say but haven't met the minimom characters. So repeat: nonsensical film editing, they've put together frames that don't work together at all, jump from wide angles to close shots, from static to handheld. If you don't watch it as a movie, but just to be amazed at on how bad it is, then it's fun . Acting awful too. And villager's'clothes and streets and hairstyles are way too clean and new, they look like made of felt.
  • That's the exact example of when your mom made you a fantasy movie in home.

If you have watch game of Thrones or some high rated fantasy movies please DO NOT WATCH THIS ITS JUST A WASTE OF TIME IT'S just that movie they show on a plane.

    Warning: Spoilers
After his death, Arthur's half-sister and enchantress Morgan Le Fay (Sandra Darnell) with her French surname, decides she wants to take over the kingdom. She manages to obtain the help of a dragon by carving runes outside the dragon's cave. In a poorly choreographed melée Morgan breaks Excalibur and imprisons Merlin (Andrew Jarvis) and Guinevere (Selina Giles) for being bad actors. Galahad (James Nitti) narrowly escapes and seeks out his father "I need a drink" Lancelot (Mark Griffin) in a script unfortunately borrowed from "Hercules Reborn."

I think you know the rest, restore Excalibur, reunite the gang, kill a few dragons, etc. etc.

The acting and dialogue was horrible. They could have at least faked an accent, I could make sport of. The dragons were Asylum grade and the cast was small for "armies" of about a dozen people going against each other. But I really couldn't get over the bad acting and dialogue, especially at Arthur's death bed which had me laughing it was MST bad. Another comic aspect was when the dragon bit a guys head off and blood sprays out.

It could be worth watching as a bad cult film along with "Hercules Reborn" but not sober or serious.

No swearing or nudity. Brief implied sex
