In 1985, Kung Fury, the toughest martial artist cop in Miami, goes back in time to kill the worst criminal of all time - Kung Führer, a.k.a. Adolf Hitler.
The Viking Babe Katana was originally played by Joanna Häggblom in the trailer. Because Häggblom was not available to shoot additional footage, she was replaced by Helene Ahlson in the final print. The scene of Katana calling Thor by the lake is altered with videotape wear effects to obscure the change of actresses. The scene of Häggblom carrying a boom box in front of a DeLorean is retained in the film's opening sequence.
Oh my, not much left of him, is there?
Kung Fury: The important thing is that he's gone. Sorry I doubted you Triceracop. You're the best damn partner I've ever had.
Triceracop: I came back in time for you, Kung Fury, because, dammit, I love you.
Tyrannosaurus: Teamwork is very important.
Though set in 1985, while fighting the evil arcade machine, Kung Fury was thrown out into outer space and hit the Hubble Space Telescope, which was launched in 1990.
