"Riding Shotgun" is an American English-language short film from 2013, so this one here will have its 5th anniversary next year. It is a little animated movie that runs for 6 minutes only and at this point, it is the most recent filmmaking effort by writer and director Michael Davis. The title already tells you that this is a lot about sex, even if nothing explicit. We have a pair of assassins here and early on a bullets slips into the girl's bra, then further down in her panties and her male colleague clearly enjoys the show. Then we have the two watching the bad guys before finally the action breaks loose and the two kill the villains, finally their target too who may have been pretty much on the idiot side sniffing accidentally insects with his cocaine. And there are more sexual references again like the spreading legs to distract one of the villains or where the male assassin lands during the fight. I must say I do not agree with those who said that they want to see a series starring these two characters. It's not a failure either, but I found neither the comedy aspects, nor the crime plot nor the sex and banter side too interesting, the latter perhaps because I did not find the female character particularly attractive and that is of course a negative deal breaker. So overall I give this one a thumbs-down and from everything I've seen in here I don't think it would work as a show with 20-minute episodes. Watch something else instead.
