Thus has to be one of my favorite Beauty and the Beast remakes to date! Far superior than the Emma Watson version.

For starters, the characters are actually very interesting. While I found Bella to be a bit dense at times, she was still fun to watch. Léon, however, was absolutely brilliant. I found his character very interesting, despite his many... many... many flaws. The only "lacking" character was Hélène, who was really just a typical antagonist. At least she has a motive.

The acting was decent, pretty good at times, but falling back other times. Contrary to what most people said, though, I found the English dub to be just fine. Léon was actually the strongest link in it. The worst part was Bella's child friend. Gosh, every time she opened her mouth I wondered how they managed to find such a painful-sounding person to act her.

This was not aptly named. This is far more like Jane Eyre. But that doesn't mean it's any less enjoyable.

Overall, I absolutely ADORED this version of the story. I highly, highly suggest it.
