We’re going to see Cena more in WWE instead of the movies this year, as he has announced his retirement from professional wrestling after 2025. However, fans will eventually get to see him in some action-packed and comedy films.

Yes, Fantastic Four (Ff) may be the adjustment fans have wanted from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for some time. One of the most curious figures in the film’s lineup saw Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the ever-lovin’, blue-eyed Thing, and for the most part, fans agreed that he was a high point of the footage.

The film’s title announcement, further details, and the trailer instills a sense of hope and optimism. This is due in part to the overall aesthetic and the point of this article: a futuristic 1960s. Naturally, this isn’t the only instance in fiction where stories are told in such a setting. This is retro-futurism, a trend that’s been around for decades or more.

The basic concept of Marvel Rivals is very similar to some other hero shooters. However, its Team-Up Abilities feature is what makes it different. Since the game features many popular characters from the Marvel universe, the game allows two or more characters to combine their abilities into a strong single attack. NetEase Games has included some powerful team-ups, but it missed out on some obvious ones, for example, a team-up between Captain America and Bucky.

The introduction of Robin in the ’40s kickstarted a new era of teen superhero sidekicks, aimed toward younger readers. This changed after Stan Lee conceived the idea of Spider-Man in ’62, and just a year later, the writer, alongside Jack Kirby, penned the idea of a bunch of teen mutants, who would reside in Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

This eventually contributed to the creation of Professor X, as they needed an adult figure to lead the school. However, Lee later confessed that he found the character too powerful in the beginning.

Oftentimes, characters, who are way too overpowered, struggle to connect with viewers and readers, especially when they lack any sense of weakness. Similar was the case with Professor Xavier when Stan Lee initially penned him.

Do you know what's even more exciting than watching superheroes fight against bad guys? Watching them come at odds with each other, of course. So far, we've seen a few of these battles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or its adjacent realities. Exclusive: Spray tan at the ready, here’s a first look at Sunny Nights, starring D’Arcy Carden and Will Forte. They play an American brother-sister team who set up a spray tan business in Sydney, Australia, in the upcoming comedy-drama.

Colin From Accounts director and executive producer Trent O’Donnell will helm and EP all eight instalments of Sunny Nights, which was written by Ty Freer and Nick Keetch. It is an original for Australian streamer Stan. Jungle Entertainment, which counts O’Donnell as a partner, is making the show with The Great producer Echo Lake Entertainment, in association with Cineflix Rights.

O’Donnell said this has been a dream project for him. “I loved the pilot for Sunny Nights and immediately thought of Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden to play the leads,” he said. “Miraculously, they both said yes, which inspired me to direct all eight episodes.”

X-Men '97 received highly positive reviews and was widely embraced by the majority of fans. Some episodes were better than others, but one instalment in particular stood out as a low point of the season for a lot of viewers.

Episode 4, "Motendo; Lifedeath - Part 1," featured a mostly self-contained Jubilee adventure along with the first part of a Storm/Forge focused story which was supposed to build towards a romantic relationship forming between the characters.

Unfortunately, this part of the episode felt very rushed, with complaints that the connection between Ororo and the mystical mutant inventor seemed forced. "Lifedeath - Part 1" also introduced Storm's demonic Adversary, a bird-like creature who arrives near the end of the episode with hardly any explanation.

Since Iron Man blasted into theaters way back in 2008, Marvel Studios has changed the game for superhero movies. Of course, not every movie or TV show they've released has been perfect and, yes, at least a few of them could be considered downright bad. 

Overall, though, the MCU has an impressive batting average, knocking these adaptations out of the park time and time again. We'd be lying to say at least some significant creative missteps haven't been made along the way, and it's those we're taking a closer look at today.
