Historian and Author Hugo Lawrence-Batley is set to take a tour of guests around a Greek Museum, the highlight being The Crest of Aphrodite. At the end of the tour, the crest is stolen, and one of the security guards is found dead. Jack is befriended by Janice Evans, a widow.
It's a good end to the second series, light hearted and fun, nice characters and nice setting, the major gripe, was that it wasn't that much of a mystery, pretty easy to work this one out.
The backdrop was an interesting one with Jack and Kate feuding over the kiss from Cassie, so as well as the theft, we have the death and the return of the will they or won't they thread.
It features two fine central guest stars, Duncan Preston and Janice Connolly, both were really good, great fun, I'd associate the pair with comedy, but both versatile.
I look forward to the second series, this one has gone by all too quickly.
7/10.

Well a good end to the series I have to say with our favourite duo doing a duet after solving another crime but it still isn't really peak time viewing.
On any other major channel it would be an afternoon soap and with ex soap stars in it, it's no wonder.
Duncan Preston hams up his role as an historian whose talks gain little attention while Jamil and Cassie play second fiddle to the Will-they-won't-thry of Jack and Kate.
It's all very lame and pantomime but great fun if you want some easy watching that requires little in the way of brain power.
A cliff hanger of an ending ready for the new series being filmed next month.

Although I haven't enjoyed the second run as much as the first, this season finale hits the mark with plenty packed in, being by far the best episode of the year. The mystery, albeit slightly predictable, had lots going on so balanced with the crew members' personal lives more successfully. Unlike recent storylines, I found the characters more likeable today, but with several still being a bit untrustworthy, the intrigue and suspense for both the enigma and the ending was strong. The expanded development of the song made a good change too. If all editions were this good, I'd definitely keep watching.
