With Mad Men filming its seventh and final season, regular Jay R. Ferguson is set to co-star in CBS’ half-hour hybrid pilot Save The Date. The romantic comedy, from writers Jackie and Jeff Filgo, ABC Studios and CBS Studios, centers on 35-year-old and newly single Katie (Maggie Lawson), who drunkenly books a wedding venue and now is faced with the task of meeting the right man in time. With Mad Men wrapping production on its seventh and final season, original cast member Rich Sommer has booked his follow-up series gig, taking a comedy turn with a co-starring role in CBS’ half-hour pilot Good Session. The single-camera project, written by John Hamburg and Matt Miller and directed by Hamburg, revolves around a happy couple, Joel and Lindsay, who go to a therapist to help them decide if they should have a baby but quickly discover they have more to discuss.
