  • All those who say Kannada movies are losing their quality here is the answer, "Gajakesari" is a kind of film that evokes hope on Sandalwood, what a movie!, out and out entertainer along with mind blowing script and awesome performance.

"Gajakesari" is the complete movie that has an equal mixtures of each and every content that a successful movie must have, Krishna who tasted success as a cinematographer in the super hit flick 'Mungaru Male' had done a good job as a captain of 'Gajakesari', he had now emerged as one of the most potential director in Kannada film industry, 'Gajakesari' stands with a complete unique genre that one hadn't tried in Kannada movies, film has a good composition and neat presentation of the two consequent age stories, the most highlighting part of this movie is its graphics those are so fine and perfectly handle they never reveal the graphic work on screen, cinematography is just incredible, songs are okay because the lyrics and the music doesn't seems to sync properly but it do has catchy tone that surely makes you tap your feet, dialogues are very superb & has very typical Kannada touch, everything are fine apart from some over exaggerated dialogues on praising some particular legendary Kannada actor, somewhere in the middle of the movie some scene might had required scissor cut due to its dragging time.

Speaking about performances, it's an incredible acting by lead actor Yash, no doubt he is endowed with required acting skills, Amulya is good and has tried to provide justice to her role, this is where director Krishna had made a mistake in casting he would had roped some other actress who actually would had perfectly paired with Yash, but no problem it never seems to be a huge fault, the power of this movie is its script, very perfect story-line that hold the curiosity till the end, the scene where the Bahubali character fights against the advent of an opposite force individually, seems to be directly inspired by real life incident of the Maratha martyr 'Baji Prabhu Deshpande', who fought against enemy's upraise till his last breath, 'Gajakesari' is a new hope and light of Kannada cinema, it's a perfect milestone for further good movies, it had proved that Kannada film makers could come out of the remake ideas and can come up with some innovative script, overall 'Gajakesari' is a fine movie.

Inspite of having good star cast with powerhouse of acting , cinematography , good comedy it was disappointing. I give it 5 starts because the starts like Anant nag ,Ashok , Girija lokesh , Shahbaz Khan, Mandya Ramesh had the magic and held the movie . Loved Yash' s comic timing . In the end as Gajakesari he delivers as a actor and believable as the warrior, the story however was very poorly written and could have been much more . Amoolya was ok . The bit between rangarayana Raghu and sadhu Kokila was enjoyable esp Babruvahana song . Songs are fabulous omg Shankar Mahadevan's voice is powerful, magical ,more kannada songs please , thank you for the perfect delivery of Gaja kesari title song it's alone worth a lot .
