A divorcee becomes entangled in a missing persons investigation that promises to send shockwaves throughout her life.
Principal photography on the film began on November 4, 2015, in New York City.
My husband used to tell me I have an overactive imagination. I can't help it. I mean, haven't you ever been on a train and wondered about the lives of the people who live near the tracks? The lives you've never lived. These are things I want to know...
When we see the train from the window of the white villa, passing on the track way beyond the garden, it is obvious that the distance is too great for anybody to be able to identify any faces at all - for instance the therapist on the balcony. The view as seen with Rachel's eyes from the train window, is greatly enlarged, as if it was seen though binoculars.
