  • Good to see films about the Armenian genocide because there aren't many about this horrendous atrocity. This one is very low budget so don't expect anything like the recently made The Promise. Probably the weakest part of this film is the acting, especially main actress who is also the director and the boy are very amateurish. Also the Turkish characters are very one dimensional. It's an American production, actors speak English with their native accents, it would have been more authentic if they would talk Armenian/Turkish. Overall if you're interested about the subject watch it but don't expect too much from this film.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This film deals with the cruel and ruthless genocide of the Armenians simply for being Christian and non-Turkish. It is the story of a young boy who watches his pregnant mother get shot, but he survives and lives past the age of 100 to tell the tale. Powerful, poignant and sobering. Lest we forget.
  • This movie is historically inaccurate and aims at playing on the Christianism sensitive cord and depicting turks amd muslims as barbarians. This is purely for propaganda of the sensitive people who believe everything they see on screen.
