  • How many people does it take to present ITV Breakfast news? No, this isn't the start of a joke, it's the question that the powers that be have clearly asked themselves when launching the new version of Daybreak...or is that GMTV? The answer is four. Four people sat behind a desk looking formal, then moving over to a couch for more informal bits and pieces. Quite why showbiz reporter Richard Arnold needed to be in a suit to bring us an exclusive about One Direction I'll never know.

I'm not saying Daybreak was perfect but at least it felt warm and welcoming when you switched on, which this new incarnation does not. It has the effect of making you feel like you've walked into a board meeting late.

Will it catch on? Time will tell.

    Boris
Can we have other news other than Boris this morning you're like a dog with a bone BBC is not as boring as you are. I know you have to do it but tell your producers we're fed up with it.
  • While I do especially commend Good Morning Britain for having the courage to invite corrupt politicians onto their show (and particularly chiefly those who currently serve in the true dumpster fire of a Tory government we have running this once great country into the ground) and hold said corrupt politicians to account for their despicable actions as well as their woeful and disastrous policies, I am not at all a huge fan of anything else that this programme stands for these days (not even during the Piers Morgan years).

While I may not have disagreed with a huge majority of Piers Morgan's views and opinions when he was on the show (particularly when it comes to his unfounded hatred for Meghan Markle and his inexplicably abominable support for Trump), I at least loved the moments where he wasn't afraid to lay into and completely demolish the corrupt officials in charge for doing such a horrible job running the very country they're supposedly elected to serve (particularly especially during the COVID-19 pandemic) and even some of the extreme right-wing lunatics like Tommy Robinson for their disgusting, xenophobic views that very rightly have no place in a civilised society or debate.

In conclusion, the only perfect way I can truly describe Good Morning Britain is that it is essentially this country's answer to Fox News or GB News minus the insanity and especially minus the conspiracy theories.

My overall rating for Good Morning Britain: 2/10.
  • Warning: Spoilers
They never let their guests finish their answers and it's very stressful to watch when they interrupt their guests while talking. They never let them finish, and acts like they know everything already. 😒 It's so fricking frustrating to watch!!! If I were a public person or a celebrity, I would never guest there! They never let their guests finish talking... LIETERALLY! They ack a question then the guest answers but they interrupt them like they know everything already. Then why ask?! 😂 so frustrating
  • My lord, what the h*ll is this garbage?

Its like the BBC again, desperate, hate filled, biased, propaganda, a mouthpiece for the UK government!

    Utter drivel!
  • This news show is just filled with embarrasing moments that nobody would even watch at Six'o'clock in the morning. Whenever somebody talks, all of the cast members talk so obnoxiously that just makes me cringe everytime I wake up. They also do some awkward skits that just makes the show worse, like where they put a cast member with a VR headset on a motion platform, and that's became a meme thanks to them being awkward and embarrasing. Congrats GMB, you made the news worse.

    Awful
This show is absolutely trash. Especially Piers Morgan. A W F U L.
  • I would love to see Piers Morgan getting swallowed by the "Vicious Viper" Omorosa.
  • I glance through the Daily Mail online and have seen him on tv and that is enough.
  • Can't believe what I watching the queen over climate change what she doing to help she does nothing for herself also the royal children don't like litter again they also don't do a thing for them self's it would be nice if they did cook clean go to shops go to the same schools as our children and have to learn to live the way we all do have work hard for our family's which I love doing I want to change the climate also I don't like litter but who cares about what the normal public ?
  • Congratulations! You just lost one corpulent, crusty creep and gained much more in audience appreciation. Many thanks 🐣
  • Piers held goverment ministers to account brilliantly. Now the little weasels will only have to face boring Ben Shephered and wet liberal Susanna Reid.Reid has relied heavily on the how does she put up with Piers shtick for a few years. Now he has gone we can see just how wishy washy she is.Without Piers the show is dreadful and i for one will not be tuning in again.
  • Piers morgan was the only good thing about gmb, I won't be watching again, it's now full of pc people are scared to voice an opinion. It's become exactly like BBC breakfast, don't waste your time on this

    Dung
Full of a-hats just like any other news show. Especially that Piers Morgan.
  • ITV's attempt to revive their morning schedules once again has failed. They had GMTV - which was pretty good, actually. Then that turned into Daybreak then eventually evolving into Good Morning Britain. They have 4 presenters which all make the show awkward and bad. Also, this isn't a news show. They constantly talk about child care, the high street and other things that nobody cares about. ITV needs to scrap this show and go back to plain old news. Like before, GMTV was fine. It was a good show but now ITV has made 2 shows in a row that will be an unholy flop. Also, there's no couch. It doesn't feel friendly. It's 4 people say around a cluttered desk. *sigh* Well done ITV, you've made 2 pieces of crap in a row. Well done.
  • Why bother inviting anyone on the show if Piers Morgan is only going to shout over whatever they are saying. No one is allowed another opinion if they don't agree with him. The only thing on show is his ego. I don't know how ITV could allow this kind of bullying live on TV. It's not journalism, pure trash.
  • Piers Morgan helps erode British society, slowly and consistently. He does not inspire, educate, raise our consciousness, and critically bring us all closer together. Instead he forces us to take sides in the most course and tabloid ways. He is dangerous and damaging.
  • The show has become almost unwatchable now since Peirce Morgan left. The only time I can watch is when Ranveer Singh or Kate Carraway are on. Nobody has an opinion any more unless it is to cheer on and support the new 'woke' culture. I shout at the TV every time I watch it now.
  • She used to be a good journalist. She now just provokes and interrupts and has developed a smug childish manner. S Example this morning they interviewed an MP about 30bn worh of international investment we have attracted. Rather than ask sensible questions, is it committed to, what will be the impact, are there any catches, how many jobs will it generate, what did we have to give away. Etc etc. She just jumped on the illegal immigrant topic. AGAIN AND AGAIN Shes does it.

Also on immigration why not ask some decent question. Eg the majority of visas granted are for students. Does this benefits or harm the UK. Is it and "industry" we should embrace. Do students go home. Etc etc.

But no She just interrupts, does listen, and doesn't probe. SHAME because she used to be good.

I think if you shut the boarders from day one we wouldn't have so many deaths if any . Its not rocket science the government got it wrong and they are to blame. All this could have been avoided .
  • Susannah Reid is such a cool headed professional, able to shine at last now she's not having to spend her time containing Piers Morgan's worst outbursts. Not afraid to have a more open stance or look at subjects than the current reactionary toe-the-line default narrative of the BBC at the moment. Feels like they express my politics closer than anywhere on TV for a very long time. A relief.

Charlotte please, he choose to sit with his animals and miss a plane stop making issues that aren't there. We all make our own choice. Then ranvir chimes in!! Boring boring boring. Where's Kate and Ben gone? These two are just irritating.

Now ranvir is attacked Dominic tash over him going on holiday haha pathetic. Bring piers back or employ new anchors as Kate and Ben are all you have. Charlotte/ranvir and the comedian are duke and inappropriate.
  • Good Morning Britain 18 January 2024 My review written by Neil Leslie Gilbert-Williams-Jacksnephew Tuned into programme after 06:10.

    Admired programme in 1980's

Me opinion is this programme seemingly screens as contemporary with presenters journaling as the authorities.

Journalism is the activity or profession of writing for newspapers, magazines, or news websites or preparing news to be broadcast.

The Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics enjoins journalists to: Seek Truth and Report It. This includes fact-checking, not intentionally distorting information, identifying sources, avoiding stereotypes, and supporting the open exchange of opinions.

Minimize Harm. ...Act Independently. ...Be Accountable.

At all times journalists upholds and defends the principle of media freedom, the right of freedom of expression and the right of the public to be informed. Strives to ensure that information disseminated is honestly conveyed, accurate and fair. Does her/his utmost to correct harmful inaccuracies.

I regularly witness deviant journalists who regularly engage in stage whispering.

Journalists seem to include there personalities into their roles, which removes professionalism from journalism.

    Generally tranced by this programme.

Nobody upholds ethics of journalists who cause harm to citizens. Regulator's of journalism are always absent and fail to uphold ethics of journalism.

Nota Bena Journalists journalism is incoherent to ethics of journalism. When subject of journalist deny and correct journalists, would the journalist be legally accountable for fictional journalism i.e. Fake news (stated by former United States president: Donald J. Trump)

Elementary - Pre-intermediate dialogue that includes established figures for validity.

However, untrustworthy as former commandering chief announced 'fake news' A repugnant programme.

Nota Bena As a famous person, I've never been formally approached to provide statements or clarification.

    I'm regularly mimicked!
  • This show is very intense. The absolute suspense in someone of these episodes is nerve-racking. The hosts are 100% really good people and honestly it's just perfect. 10/10 would recommend. (If you are going to watch it make sure you watch ALL THE EPISODES)
