  • I had high expectations of this highly advertised movie (in Prague). Expected an artistic approach with good photography (pun intended) and an intriguing story. What I've seen is the kind of movie that should go straight to TV viewing. Unimpressive camera, artificial editing of flashback scenes and forced dialogs. The actors often seem theatrical and non believable. I couldn't last for more than 1h. A shame as the subject had a great potential. For an idea of what this movie could have been, check out La Grande Bellezza. It shares some common themes: loneliness of the aging protagonist, well developed characters, beautiful scenes, etc.
