Solomon Isaiah Freedom “Bear” Brown, whose family stars on Discovery Channel’s “Alaskan Bush People,” was arrested on the evening of March 11 in Okanogan County, Washington on suspicion of domestic violence, the sheriff’s office confirmed Tuesday.
According to the incident report obtained by TheWrap, Brown was booked on fourth degree assault domestic violence after his wife, Raiven Adams, told police he pushed her down on the bed and held her there while trying to take her phone.
Adams told the responding officer she believed Brown wanted the phone to keep her stepfather from hearing her ask him to call the cops while she was on FaceTime. Brown denied the allegations while speaking with the responding officer, and said he didn’t push Adams, but he did try to grab the phone when she began saying things to her mother about things he was doing that weren’t true.

Not even the Covid-19 pandemic could stop Shark Week. The annual Discovery Channel franchise, now in its 32nd edition, remains a juggernaut for the company — which this year is using Shark Week to launch five new series while giving the network (and cable in general) a needed boost.
“I’ve worked at Discovery as a broad company for a long time, and Shark Week was always the biggest week of the year across the entire company,” says Nancy Daniels, the chief brand officer of Discovery & Factual. “Everybody loves Shark Week. Everybody loves talking about Shark Week.”
Shark Week has been called “Discovery’s Super Bowl,” and that’s not just hyperbole. “Shark Week brings in a different audience, a more expansive audience, than we get most other weeks of the year,” Daniels says. “We get a lot more A/B county people watching. We get just a lot more eyeballs...

Alaskan Bush People is a show that has been running for some time. For those who are unfamiliar, it is an unscripted show about the Brown family, who are supposed to be living off-of-the-grid in the state of Alaska. However, there is plenty of proof that Alaskan Bush People isn’t real, which has caused something of a divide in its fan-base. It Is Clear that Alaskan Bush People Isn’t Real Generally speaking, viewers tend to be pretty skeptical about the veracity of so-called unscripted shows. After all, they have earned a reputation for being less than faithful representations of what

Shows on the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Hgtv and Food Network may sound very different in the coming months. That’s because Discovery Networks, which owns those and other cable channels, is instituting a new pay policy that virtually assures no composer currently working on their programs will do so after Dec. 31.
Discovery has informed many of its top composers that, beginning in 2020, they must give up all performance royalties paid for U.S. airings, and that they must sign away their ability to collect royalties on all past shows on its networks.
Music makers surmise that the policy will result in an 80% to 90% drop in their income from these shows. It’s the last straw for many composers who say they will refuse to continue to score such series as “Gold Rush,” “Deadliest Catch” (pictured) and “Alaskan Bush People,” calling the new contract provisions “unprofessional,” “bullying,” “a corporate money grab” and “evil.

Ami Brown is seen preparing for a critical health check-up on this week’s episode of Alaskan Bush People. The scenes, filmed earlier this year, come after she battled cancer last year before being given the all-clear by medics in December. But the Browns told Monsters and Critics in an exclusive interview at the start of this season how Ami still has to get scans every three months. Her health issues were the main reason the family did not return to Alaska, after doctors told them she should stay in the lower 48 in case she needed more treatment. Billy Brown […]

Don't look down! Gabe Brown showed how incredibly brave he is while helping build a new structure on his family's property, on the upcoming episode of Alaskan Bush People. The reality star put his life at risk while taking on a "dangerous" construction project. “Gabe just needs to cut off the top of the poles,” Snowbird Brown explained while taking it step-by-step. Here's where things get tricky: the wooden poles are way too high up in the air for Gabe to reach them — that is, without trying something creative. “He’s just going to stand in the bucket of the skid-steer and Rain’s going to raise him up,” Snowbird says next. Mind you, Rain, 15, is still learning the ropes when it comes to operating heavy machinery. (Credit: Discovery) Using a chainsaw, Gabe starts cutting off the tops of the poles and successfully freaks out his family along the way.

So how many of you tuned in to watch the season premiere of Alaskan Bush People last weekened? Was it all of you? Because it turns out that the Discovery Channel show's first episode of Season 8 was actually that Sunday night's #1 unscripted cable telecast across P/M 25-54. Not only that, it was also the #1 cable telecast for men ages 18-49 in general. Like, more adult men were watching the Brown family figure out their new lives in Washington state than literally anything else on cable. Which is wild! You guys know that the Kardashians are also on that night, right? Still, the new season has apparently captivated fans. While Keeping Up with the Kardashians' premiere may have been the #1 social reality premiere when it debuted earlier this month, it was fueled by a whole fake Twitter fight between the sisters as the show was airing. Although Bear Brown of the Discovery Channel's Alaskan Bush People refers to himself as the "King of Extreme," being a daredevil has put him in the hospital, according to Radar Online. This time, it wasn't a crazy stunt that caused Bear's injury, but rather just regular running around, as one does in the Alaskan wild. “Bear was running outside, as always, and turned his head into a small tree branch,” the source told Radar. He “sustained a minor eye injury” and went to Spokane, Washington, to the hospital. He was released on Monday and had to wear an eye patch. Here's the thing about Bam Bam Brown from the Discovery Channel TV show Alaskan Bush People: He looks mostly like a normal person. He doesn't have any weird facial hair like muttonchops or two-feet-long mustache trails. His fashion is relatively casual with a simple jeans and a t-shirt look instead of leaning into the goth prince aesthetic. And his curls have gotten way more properly managed over the years. Which is all to say that, lately, the outdoorsy reality star has kind of become the hot brother of the Brown family. And I know, I know, it seems strange to declare anyone called an "Alaskan Bush Person" hot, but hear me out, because I never expected to be in this position either.
