  • ABCD 2 is a dance sequel to the 2013's ABCD of the same genre. It stars Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhudeva in pivotal roles. The story revolves around a group of dancers who join hands with a dance instructor in order to compete in a world hip-hop dance competition in Vegas and to regain their honour. ABCD 2 delivers on what it promises to give; dance. But that's all that's there to this film. While the first film gave a different spin to the dance genre with a proper storyline and some heart, the sequel pales in comparison. It doesn't know what it's trying to be, except that there must be dance. And this is where the film falters. Instead of trying to be a normal film with a SLIGHTLY higher number of dance sequences, it succumbs to an over-stretched 2h20m compilation of dance sequences. Since the film has a completely different plot from the first one, it immediately starts in the heat of the plot with literally no time to get to know the characters; not that there is much to know since hardly any detail is given to each of them. Hence, most of the film's flaws are due to its script and poor writing. For example, Prabhudeva's character, Vishnu, who had so much depth in the predecessor, is simply confusing in this one. It seems that neither him nor the viewers know what he's up to. And that's just the icing on the cake. The story doesn't know whether its trying to be a Disney G-rated film, or a serious drama. Its either trying to be childish, or sometimes overdoing it with serious preptalks and all throughout annoying you with several (sometimes unnecessary dance sequences.) The acting is quite "half-baked". If acting was dancing, every respective actor or dancer, passes with more than flying colors; including Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. Dhawan, who proved to have major acting chops in his previous flick, Badlapur, tries to add a charm to a poorly-written Suresh, whose the hero in this film. While his efforts are noticed, there's still not much screenplay due to a new dance sequence sprouting after every five minutes. Shraddha Kapoor is wasted in this film as she hardly has any moments to shine except for her solo song, Sun Saathiya. Lauren Gottlieb, being a great addition to the group, only shows up in the last 45 minutes of the film. In conclusion, ABCD 2 completely messes up the great reputation its predecessor set up for the name 'ABCD.' It tries to follow the example of Hollywood's dance series 'Step Up' by taking a great dance film and following it with unnecessary and mindless sequels. ABCD 2 did have great potential, but its wasted by being extremely loud and annoying with a dance at every nook and corner. The film does practice what it preaches; everyone dances to express rather than to impress, and Any Body Can Dance... except it would have made more sense to take its predecessor's example and add a sensible story to it rather than simply showing us viewers that anybody can dance. ABCD 2- 4/10
  • Clearly if some people blame Mad Max for having so less dialogues, they must see ABCD 2. I can easily count the dialogues in the movie, on my fingers, of one hand.

Lets start with the plus point, the choreography and the music for those competitions was really new, refreshing and adequate for a movie based on dance. But remember, it is still a MOVIE based on dance, so there must be some story in it, here it wasn't.

About the dance numbers also, they are very long, you don't have to show it all, if you have choreographed it, where are the editors? This movie also displayed the cliché of the previous one when they show you the glimpse of performance of other groups and when THE group come on the stage, the group on which the movie is based, they present a very long performance with everything in it. In the end they will put sentiments for the movie goers by presenting something Indian in every performance.

So, yeay! to all the dance but noooo! to everything else. Wanna see dance with a few dialogues stuffed in between, go see it.
  • I watched the movie first day, first show and according to me it was not worth it. It was all over ABCD(2013) again except it had a better cast to attract more viewers this time. For a matter of fact, I like dance and respect every form of art so there is nothing like personal bias. I think the plot wasn't strong enough to keep the audience enthralled. There were many dance performances (some you may find meaningless) but the last one is surely gonna steal your heart but there is no storyline and one may feel that the movie is getting boring at times. Though there are no distractions such as a side love story or anything like that but we can't figure out what the movie is trying to convey. I would suggest people to go out some place other, rather than wasting their time and money on the movie. In anticipation of better dance movies in future.
  • Let me tell you something first - I could hardly survive the "Step Up" films even though the dance sequences in those films were spectacular and those films had a story, no matter how bad the story was.

This film does not even have a story. Its just 2.5 hours of "people dancing". OK, I get the point - Its a dance film but still it is a FILM. It must have at least an iota of story. Unfortunately this film struggles with the story. They made it just to earn money and it paid off. It has already collected 14 crores on the very first day despite heavy Rains in many parts of India and Ramadan.

Now, let me tell you more about the film. It stars Varun Dhawan (who is yet to impress me because he was bad in every movie I have seen him in), Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhudeva (You sir, are a good dancer but why are you trying to become an actor?). So we have 3 stars but none of them gives a good performance. Either they did this film just for money or they were bored with all the "Dance thing".

The story of this film is ordinary and has been done to death before by countless movies in different ways - A group of wannabes join hands with an instructor to help them achieve their goal.

The dance sequences are good (I will have to give them that) but why did you make a movie just to show dance? There is too much dance in this film. Even Michael Jackson did not dance this much in his lifetime. They could have easily shortened the length of this movie by at least 40 minutes. The length of this film is god awful 2.5 hours (You can watch 2 animated movies in 2.5 hours). So you get 2.5 hours of dance sequences for 300 bucks. Now, thats a deal no one can refuse (Just joking).

The characters are thrown into the movie from god-knows-where without any kind of character development, so you get half-baked characters. Half of the people in theater were trying to understand them but it doesn't matter. You know why? because all they do is - Dance, so you need not worry about them. There are so many sub-plots and they don't add anything to the story. There are some scenes that are so annoying that you want to throw your bucket of popcorn onto the screen. These scenes exist because they had to show something in between the dance sequences otherwise there would only be dance sequences.

"Poor acting" by almost every character adds up to the frustration and makes you feel like vomiting.

The screenplay is bad, direction is sloppy and writing is awful.

The only good thing about this film is - Dance, but there is too much of it. None of us wants to see this much dance in one go.

So if you are hoping for a good story then you will be disappointed. This film does not deliver, it does not know what it is trying to be. I am giving it more than 1 because of the "good choreography" otherwise I would have given it "1". So watch it only if you are interested in watching "Dance".
  • Let's Put this short and simple...

Negetives : 1. Very weak and boring first half. 2. Not the best performance by Shradha Kapoor. 3. Missed Salman from the last film. 4.The length could have been edited a bit more. 5. Not the best use of Lauren.

Positives : 1. Flawless dance. 2. Awesome choreography. 3. One of the best second half comeback. 4. Fabulous Pravudeba. 5. Childish Varun + Matured Varun 6. One of the best mix of Indian classical + Bollywood + hip hop 7. Unstoppable Dharmesh. 8. Best of Disney India.

It surely deserves a shot.. go for it guys...the only thing that made me upset was the song bezuban...it had an unbelievable vibe and energy..but bezuban phir se really disappointed me.. anyways have fun guys

I was waiting for this movie actually. Have seen awesome performances from the dancers in the first part. Don't know what's the use of the Varun and Shraddha in the movie. Somewhere I was sure, they won't be able to make justice to the movie and the theme and now they proved ma thoughts to be correct. These idiots don't even know how to act. Don't know what does the director thinks and whats the use of these useless fellows in a dance movies.

They calls themselves a dancer. Huh, he doesn't even know how to express. I would never recommend this movie to anyone who is actually a dance lover.

Worst ever experience for a first day first show..

    Total Loss.

Designed as crack cocaine for dance aficionados, "ABCD 2″ has enough to hold the interest of the casual audience, too. Varun Dhawan ably carries the film on his shoulders, proving just why he's being touted as the next big thing in Bollywood, while Shraddha Kapoor and Lauren Goetlib fit their roles perfectly. Also, the movie's scale is much grander than the original, is stylishly shot, and boasts some gorgeous frames especially in the second half.

Yes, it is bogged down by some kitschy dialogues, unnecessary back-stories, and subpar performances from the supporting cast. Also, the faux pax patriotism in the climax won't sit well with many; it seems forced even though we get the stellar Vande Mataram dance sequence emanating from that. Another important aspect holding the movie back is its music, which should have been really foot-tapping and held universal appeal considering this was officially India's biggest dance film hitherto. The songs mostly make a mark due to their stellar choreography and Remo's assured grip over such sequences, but for non-dance lovers the effect might be a tad diluted.

However, what matters is that Director Remo catches your attention from the start of the film and holds on to it. Vijay Arora's cinematography, too, is eye-catching, managing to capture the shanties of Nallasopara in Mumbai and high-rises of glitzy Las Vegas with equal élan. Also, the 3D effects are a cool add-on to the whole package. "ABCD 2″ is universal in its appeal and a thoroughly entertaining sequel. If you can enjoy perfectly conceived and amazingly performed dance sequences with a simplistic engrossing storyline, and decent performances, then "ABCD 2″ is as good as a dance-themed film as any.
  • U r not a director Remo sir garbage. With these new star movie is full waste.
  • Director Mr. Remo D'souza knows well to capture and portray the dance in grandeur and interesting way. This time there is no story. Main drawback of this film is very less emotional factor but yeah two scenes are very good in emotions, first when Vishnu meets his son and second the climax. Screenplay is very routine and predicative. You exactly know what is going to be happen. So, movie slows down at many places. Few things are gone overboard in the name of thrill, like the interval point thrill plot, the childish way to give the hint of love triangle, strain in leg to find scope for another previous actress's dance skill. Few scenes are good conceived keeping 3 D in mind, like one the bubble coming out from Vishnu mouth. Dialogues by Mayur Puri are good. They deliver humor and emotions. This type of movie requires dancers first then actors and first part has proved this very well. Here the protagonists are actors first so they have there own limitations. Let them lead, makers have to lower down the dance level of other brilliant dancers. I got goose bumps at the solo dance sequences of Prabhu Deva, Dharmesh and Puneet. I am surprised how can one feel sound if he is deaf!? So making Puneet deaf is also unbalanced approach in the name of doing some extra and different. Dance has shown in very good way but it also losses its first part emotional dose in it. Formation of Bharat Mata and Tri-Color through dance is mind blowing. When Puneet shouts and moans, his expressions are mind blowing and gives the required push to make climax very effective. Still I missed Ganesh Aachraya dearly as Gopi. He was surprise package in first part with humor and emotions. Performance wise Prabhu Deva as Vishnu is very impressive, in dance as well in emotions. Varun Dhavan is good to project emotions but dance wise others are quite better compare to him. Dharmesh and Puneet are great dancers. Pleasure to see them dancing. I wish, there could have been more dance of them. Shradha Kapoor is balanced, dance wise and acting wise. Louren Gottlieb is very good. Music by Sachin – Jigar, is foot tapping. One song "Mai Teri Chunariya" is very emotional and comes at right places. Fine work by its lyricist Mayur Puri.
  • First of all why varun dawan is there in the movie. Neither he is acting nor he is dancing properly in movie and secondly nora should had been casted as main lead instead of shardha. No story no base just banithi toh banadi... muslim girl family who are against her dance for so many years got convince after 1 monolog. Even the Ind-Pak rage was not required. Only good thing in the movie was background dancer who were dancing and nora dance.
  • What i love most to watch is Bollywood movies and this movie also contain my best actress and actor (Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan) i can wait to watch more Any body can dance!!!!
  • Beginning with the downers, ABCD 2 is completely based on a routine formula with no great storyline or script as such. There is a competition lost in the beginning and there is an international contest to be won in the finale as usual resulting in a stale plot. Plus despite having a real life Mumbai dance group as its basic inspiration, the film can still be easily called a clever mix of STEP UP series of the west, the last half an hour of Farah's HAPPY NEW YEAR and the basic plot of replacing an injured co-dancer taken from Yash Chopra's DIL TOH PAGAL HAI hinting towards a love triangle. There are too many illogical cinematic liberties taken by the writers in the film like no reason given for why they copied initially, no problems in the foreign travel by the entire young troupe, the boys easily finding a perfect replacement in an unknown foreign city, a huge difference in Prabhudeva's elegant staircase and the interior of his adjacent room and the undisclosed ailment of one of its key dancer finding no mention towards the end, clearly affecting the end-product.

Plus the biggest disappointment remains its weak soundtrack that though sounds fine while watching the film in the theater, but doesn't give you anything to go for a second listening later after the show is over. Moreover, along with the uninspiring writing, okay dialogues and a sudden end, it's the over-length of the film going into more than 150 minutes that honestly reduces the overall impact on the viewers and they somehow feel 'served less than the promises made' due to the very reason.

Having said that, the film's all clichéd formula still largely works reaching its young target audience since it has one thing in abundance and that too in the purest quality form, i.e. Dance, Stage Performances and their Amazing Moves. So one witnesses a loud applause whenever the youngsters get to see their favourite ones performing on the screen and mind you this doesn't include either Varun or Shradha expectedly. In fact Remo uses his three main underdogs quite intelligently at intervals and the move really works wonders when you get to hear shouts or whistles each time Dharmesh, Punit, Raghav or Lauren (post interval) enter the scene with a quick, smart build-up grooving to some inventive steps.

As ABCD 2 (Any Body Can Dance 2) is solely based on its plot of spellbinding dance performances, the film has an outstanding choreography that is sure going to be loved by the ones who are actually into this particular dance form of Hip-Hop and doing similar stage performances as a team (with an appreciative mention of the actual inspiration behind the theme, Suresh Mukund and Vernon Monteiro in the end credits playing it rightly). So even if you are not a dancer yourself but do enjoy the act of dancing naturally, the spirited dedication and the huge effort is sure going to make you feel the excitement, tapping your foot along with the musical beats, particularly in all its well-conceived stage sequences and the patriotically charged climax.

The film has a remarkable production value, eye catching set- designs, fabulous lighting and superb cinematography (watch out for the love songs) generating a stunning visual end-result, especially in the spectacular opening sequence, a Chaplin inspired performance in the mid and then the charged up finale devoted to Lord Ganesha (along with a tour of the neon-lights lit Las Vegas as an added attraction). Besides this time for a change the 3D technology really becomes a major plus giving you something to cheer for and not just added for the sake of it as usual.

Coming to the performances, this is one of those rare films that is collectively supported by the entire team and not just dependent upon a single person alone due to his or her star-status. Both Varun and Shraddha perform earnestly, displaying a great amount of homework done for their demanding roles and they do impress a lot particularly Varun Dhawan. Here I would specifically like to applaud the two bigger stars for not throwing any tantrums and letting every single person in the film perform freely (taking the center stage) without any ego issues. An example that truly puts these two new generation actors much ahead than their seniors who were known to cut their opponent's role in a film using their star-influence in the industry.

But having praised Varun-Shradha for their generous professional approach, the real heroes of the film still undoubtedly remain the famous performers of the dance reality show, namely Dharmesh, Punit, Raghav, Sushant and the gorgeous Lauren Gottlieb also doing well in the acting department. Prabhudeva continuing from the first part as Vishnu Sir surprises you with a well handled emotional act besides his repetitive yet (always) impressive dance moves. Also the cameos of Tisca Chopra, Kapil Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Pooja Batra and Ganesh Acharya do contribute a bit in their given scenes.

To give the entire team their deserving respect, a film like ABCD 2 is certainly not an easy one to make conceiving a differently engaging dance act for every individual artist, for every major event in the script progression, for all its love-songs and the pumped up finale involving hundreds of artists performing together in the same frame on the lavishly designed bright sets.

However if only Remo could have stressed more on the storytelling part, reducing the overall duration of the film giving less emphasis to its full length love songs having a better edit, ABCD 2 would have reached a much wider audience offering a non-stop music and dance festival moving ahead than its original hit.

Dance India Dance, and burn all the stages

This is it! Remo D'souza has always delivered more than what is expected. May it be FALTU or the initial ABCD. This movie is not a sequel as it has entirely different story catering everyone who has missed the first part. I urge the audience to watch it in 3D as the team at Walt Disney has done marvelous job in graphics, making it compulsory to watch in theatres.

The entire movie is a musical and dancing delight backed-up by excellent cast. Varun Dhawan has literally worked very hard to deliver the expected choreography. On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor has raised her standards in performance at a new height. All other characters are from the dance reality show on Zee TV - Dance India Dance. Children were very excited to see Raghav (Crockrozz) performing and delivering occasional humour.

It is always good to see talent over-taking poverty. According to Remo this story is of Fictitious Group of Nallasopara, their ups and downs. It is but obvious that Shraddha couldn't perform those twists and splits, hence she was purposely injured for Lauran to take over and burn the dance-floor. But, overall the sequence of activities were perfectly arranged.

It is till date the best work of Remo as he had a full time support of the dancing legend Prabhudevaa. For giving me goosebumps in the climax sequence and taking into consideration the overall performance, I am bound to give it 7/10 at IMDb. Expecting a BINGO from the team in the future.
  • Again the second movie is also a garbage followed by the first one. Literally nobody tried to act in the movie including prabhudeva. Only 1-2 dance performances were there you can shout out for a little.
  • The sequel to the 2013 film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, 'ABCD 2' is A Decent Dance Flick, that has some awe-inspiring dance numbers & lighthearted moments working on its advantage. Remo D'Souza offers a visual delight, however, the story is entirely predictable & is also a bit too long.

'ABCD 2' Synopsis: After being ridiculed for copying a dance performance in India, a group of underdogs, with the help of a mentor, pursue to compete in a World Dance Champion in Las Vegas.

'ABCD 2' is the regular rags to riches story, about underdogs in search for redemption. Remo, who's mastered dance with his successful career as a choreographer, impressively directs this energetic dance fare, with some of its dance numbers leaving a striking impact. I'd like to single out 2 dance numbers, 1 being the Charlie Chaplin tribute & the other being in its climax. The choreography & the execution by the dancers, both, are marvellously done! Remo definitely deserves credit for churning out a dance flick, that isn't lazy or unimpressive. The hard work shows & how! A Special Mention for Sachin-Jigar's foot-tapping soundtrack!

But, 'ABCD 2', as a film, is predictable to the core. 20-Minutes in & you know exactly what's gonna follow next. Tushar Hiranandani's Screenplay is clichéd. However, the light moments are nicely placed in the narrative, which are definitely good to watch. Mayur Puri's Dialogue range from ordinary to average. Also, the film is a bit too long. At a 146-minutes, 'ABCD 2' overstays its welcome by at least 25-minutes. Some Trimming was most definitely needed!

Performance-Wise: Prabhu Deva shines. As the mentor, the dancing legend grooves with impeccable grace & his performance too, is credible. Varun Dhawan oozes energy in the dance numbers & has performed well. Shraddha Kapoor is okay. She doesn't really suit the part, as her dancing chops lack quality. Among others, Raghav Juyal & Dharmesh Yelande leave a mark.

On the whole, 'ABCD 2' has its share of pluses & minuses. Dance Lovers should have fun!
  • Dharmesh, puneet & raghav know nothing abt acting,, in fact they r just lukhhas.

N same goes fr prabhu deva..he just cant act.
  • The film begins on a Shimit Amin note, nosedives headlong into the Step Up theme, pulls off a Dil Toh Pagal Hai mid-way and ends with a dance- piece that is the film's best shot at absolution. What is infuriating, is that it wastes 154 minutes of your life in serving a rather insipid concoction of gorgeously orchestrated dances, an unexplored romance and oodles of unnecessary melodrama.

Taking the conventional and rather convenient route out, the film is the story of Suresh (Varun Dhawan) who is accused of plagiarizing a dance item, blemishing his Padmashri-winning dancer-mother's name (who you must note, died with her ghungroos on – a line that harps on her devotion towards dance). Ridicule follows in the most hilarious forms possible. People deny paying for pizzas just because their delivery boy was the part of a dance group that 'cheated' on a dance show. We will prefer to spare you the lamer details. Suddenly, a dance wizard – Vishnu Sir (with ulterior motives)- enters their lives and their world changes for better. Things fall in place with buttery smoothness. A group of dancers who earn their living doing menial jobs land the money to buy a ticket to Vegas and what follows is predictably mawkish.

Acting: Varun Dhavan and Shraddha Kapoor's dancing techniques are just outstanding. Prabhudeva is absolute master raging! He just makes you see with your mouth wide open while dancing!

Script: Good. You should not expect so much from a bollywood sequel but this sequel will prove you wrong.

Choreography: Do i need to tell this? Absolute Outstanding!

In All: ABCD 2 will impresses you as a sequel!

Disney steps in to do the sequel to 2013's 'ABCD', not that you'd notice as the two films are virtually indistinguishable.

'ABCD 2' is just as slow and limp as the original, though once again does feature a crap tonne of dance so if that's all you want then you might like this. I didn't, simply put. They even made this one slightly longer, which was a very bad call.

This film does have a bit more of an actual plotline to follow, but it isn't anything of substance and quickly takes on all the clichés you'd expect it to. Like the other, it is very poorly written. Be original, if nothing else. As for the cast, Prabhu Deva reprises the role of Vishnu - I found his acting to be a tad better this time. As before, though, no-one else onscreen sticks out.

Very bloated, for the second time running. Forces too much and goes on for way too long. Poor.
  • Remo D'Souza delivers yet another installment of a musical-dance extravaganza, which can give a good fight to the Step Up series now. Carrying forward from the original ABCD, this dancing franchisee is taking some serious form now; as Disney has already backed the project, and mainstream actors such as Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are now part of the team.

If we leave aside the script and the story, then what we get is a series of high performance dance performance, sprinkled with patriotic zeal and of course, Ganpati bappa mourya.

Remo, along with Prabhu Deva and a team of outstanding dancers such as Dharmesh Yelande as Dharmesh; Lauren Gottlieb as Olive; Raghav Juyal as Raghu; Pravin Bhosale as Chotu; Sushant Pujari as Vernon; Punit Pathak as Vinod; Karthik as Raju and others deliver a solid punch of creativity and dance, which has very few parallels in Bollywood.

On a hindsight, someone who is not that great dance enthusiast, can find some of the dance sequences tad too long, and a bit too many. But in case you love dance, then you will lap up every twist, and turn of the movie. God, when you see an auditorium in a city like Lucknow, filled with dance enthusiasts clapping and shouting on some out of the world dance moves, then you got to believe that ABCD series has found its niche audience.

Varun has tried his best to learn and deliver dance sequences like a pro, but he has still a long way to go before he can be compared with legends such as Hritik and Shahid. Was a bit disappointed with Shraddha, as her dance moves couldn't generate that intensity which was visible with other dancers on screen, including Varun. But again, she can't be blamed as the director chose to give her bit less space, as the feeble romantic story between her and Varun was half-heartedly accomplished.

Prabhu Deva as Vishnu sir, the Guru of the troupe, is the central pillar of the movie, and he has acted, danced and performed exceptionally well. I can see that IMDb has given ABCD 2 a rating of 6.5 as of now (June 20, 3.00 PM).. I cant be that harsh with this musical-dance spectacle. 8 would be my justification of this movie.

Disclaimer: Even if you don't love dance, do watch this one as who knows.. Any Body Can Dance!
  • Remo : Lets make a dance movie. Prabhu: Sure.

ABCD released and it was good but NO COLLECTION!!!!

Remo : Lets make a sequel of it. Prabhu: Sure but in 3D.

And believe me its a master stroke because its such a bad 3D effect that you wont feel that you are watching a 3D movie!!!!

STORY: A group of dancers go for a dance competition!!! Its a SPOILER FREE review so cant reveal much!!!

STAR CAST: Varun Dhawan did dance well but only dance because dance to express not impress and he didn't impress with acting!!! Shraddha Kapoor acted well and others were good!!!

Ra one and Don 2 had one thing in common other than SRK and that is stupid 3D include ABCD 2 in it. May be its easier way to earn money through 3D instead of spending money in scrip writers!!!!

A sure one time watch for dance, dance and dance!!!
  • The plot revolves around a group of street dancers who are trying to remove "Cheaters" tag and establish themselves as professional dancers. They do so by participating in an international dance competition. The director (Mr. Remu) who is himself a renowned choreographer has made subtle efforts to keep things a sequence but his direction abilities fails miserably time and again throughout the movie. The film runs in bits and pieces with sub-standard dialogues, situations and expressions. The idea to put professional dancers and make them act does not suit in a great way. However, few positive nodes are yet there to impress including the "Marjaawan" track embodied with Shradha Kapoor's performance and final performance track in Vegas. However, adding unnecessary, ill-timed and useless emotional sequences in dance and relating it to religion are beyond digestion. After all guys it is an international dance competition and who cares for your emotions or whatever. In short, a film has to remain a film and not a melodrama of stupid and cheap ideas. Prabhu Deva is a great dancer but when it comes to acting, it seems that he is out of colour for the job.Varun did fair job but remained submerged in overall rush of dancers and could not impress upon as a single dude Overall, this time the ABCD team has done better than the previous effort and is expected to do more good in future. The movie can be watched when you don't have anything else to watch!!!!

    Warning: Spoilers
Probably would have enjoyed it better if I hadn't watched the first film. This is NOT a sequel. This is a Disney hack job of the first film. They brought in the actors and music from the first film and then changed everyone's backstory. Even brought back Chandu who's story in the first film was heart-wrenching. There is still amazing dancing and the actors performed well, but putting the 2 in the title was an outright lie to sell the movie to people who enjoyed the first film.
  • ABCD 2 REVIEW- Just finished watching ABCD 2 and came out with happy and satisfied face from theater. Film was looking promising from the first trailer and then dance video songs increased everybody's expectations. Even before trailer film had good buzz due to its surprise successful prequel. Each and every audience loved the prequel so had expectations from its sequel and film will not disappoint you for sure. Lets start from the story,Varun and Sharddha and their dancing group from mumbai is dedicated towards dance but they stole opponent's performance and gets stamp of cheaters on their name. Since then they are eager to get second chance from life. Then they find dancing guru Vishnu sir played by Prabhudeva. They try to convince Vishnu sir and he keep rejecting them. But we know film story cant go ahead without his 'Yes' to them and as expected he agrees to be their choreographer. Then auditions and their breath taking performances with eye catching visuals effects which keeps us to edge of our seats. And then their journey to the finals Obviously predictable but still enjoyable screenplay. Acting department is too good. Varun and Shraddha gave their everything for this movie. Here they proved that they are not only good actors but also are quality dancers. Both steals the show with their acting and dancing as well. Other star cast were not from this acting field so we cant expect them to act well but still they were okay but they will blow you again with their dancing skills here. Story, screenplay were good. But film is too lengthy to watch. Editing could have been better and that was needed there. So many unwanted scenes and songs spoiled the tightness and grip of the film. But here comes a magical direction which impresses us. Remo proved that he has become one the finest director when it comes to entertain all kind of audience. He kept our excitement high in every important scene like dance performances, climax and some patriotic scenes. Too many clap worthy and whistle worthy scenes and some scenes with patriotic theme were just wow. Camera work was brilliant as they shoot movie for 3D only. But don't know it was the problem of theater's projector or film's team bad work that i film screen wasn't clear i just couldn't see the single scene with clarity. I will have to watch the movie again in another theater for its clarity. Anyways final words its Another Paisa Vasool Entertainer from Remo. You just cant miss it.
