    Salute to Turkish Movies

Beside it's funny and tasty as Cem Yılmaz's finest work: Her sey cok guzel olacak, it's also good to see a lot of references to some Turkish movies. Eskiya (1995) is one of them. Cem Yılmaz really knows his job. The movie has a lot of good jokes and sad moments. Cem Yılmaz is father of his son, you can see its reflection in the script.

One more thing about the movie is Zafer Algöz's acting. It's getting more glorious over the years. Cem Yılmaz has been taking advantage of working with familiar faces again. Ozkan Ugur and Ozan Guven is killing the stage again.

Don't take attention of bad comments, just try to watch and understand the movie...

    Nice scenario and nice cast

Cem yilmaz's movies have subtle references that you may know/understand if you watch carefully and know about other movies. I like the part for Eskiya movie where he gives a hug as if like to represent all others who watched that movie and wanted to give a hug to Eskiya which is about die. Very good movie and very good cast!

    Great job again from Cem

    Outcomes:

    • It means a lot to Turkish because in the movie many terms and names including Sadri Alisik, Gulyabani, Hafize Ana , Body Ekrem and Eskiya are associated with Yesilcam.

-In early 70's, cinema halls started to get empty due to the creation of public TV network. This was the start of shooting erotic film in Turkey. Interesting fact for those who did not know.

    • Soundtracks, Kimse Bilmez, Neden Bana Ask Sarkisi Yazan Olmaz, and Sevemez Kimse Seni perfectly fit with the scenes.

    • Istanbul Toy Museum is the only toy museum in Turkey. Must-see place in Istanbul.

    • White lies are not bad as long as you avoid hurting someones feeling.

    • Turkish men are jealous.

    • People may break promises after so long time.

    • An end can be a beginning.

    • Celebrities do not have a wonderful life.

    • Fathers are sometimes just amazing.

    • Never loose hope.

    • Money rules.

    ...

Although Cem Yilmaz works with the same faces again, he did a great job. I appreciate to see how much he loves his culture and values. And wants to demonstrate how unique they are.

Cok Tesekkurler Cem. Gurbette Iyi Geldi.

Excellent drama disguised as comedy :))

Cem Yilmaz is the genius of telling the hilarious and sarcastic stories about the dramas, worst conflicts and deep sorrows of human life. The movie has all the elements a good movie is supposed to perform such as good character descriptions, attention to details, a unique message, interesting plot, a clear theme plus lots of ironi, humorous accidents, epic paradoxes and twists, some righteous criticism, etc are top of the cherry. This is another of his work that has many lines still make me laugh whenever I watch the movie again or come across with the excerpts. Pek Yakinda also finely reflects love, loyalty and admiration he has for Yesilcam and its actors and actresses. But the best part of the movie is its ending as I like happy endings.

"Pek Yakında" is incredibly perfect-great work of Cem Yilmaz

Pek Yakında is the best of Cem Yilmaz movies in my opinion. It is funny, gives messages, includes many topics, has some references to a few popular Hollywood movies such as Avatar, Fight Club, Oceans 11. I don't like every movie but I recommend this to everyone. The music in the film belongs to the group, MFO and perfectly fits the subject, the rhythm is great. You don't get bored during the film, instead final of it is not easily predictable. Caglar Corumlu is very funny as always and Ozan Guven acts so naturally. The scene in the hospital where main characters argue about finding a new actor for their film is nice and surprising in that they make fun of themselves and Yilmaz Erdogan appears suddenly in the scene..

    • Trivia
Near the end of the film, it's seen that two fezzes placed on a table. This is a nod to Cem Yilmaz's previous film Yahsi Bati - The Ottoman Cowboys (2010).
    • Goofs
Before it's revealed that Bogac Boray's voice is actually not his own but Semih's we see these two in the same scene but when Bogac Boray talks, Semih's lips are not moving.
