Very well, I don't like to be harsh, but I saw this movie only for Nina Dobrev's performance. But I must say that we are dealing with a movie that you can predict the whole movie from the 20th minute onwards. All the events of the movie seem to have been seen in a movie made in 2007, while this movie is made in 2019 (2023). All the dialogues seemed to have been written in 3 days and only contained repeated clichés, and in the end, good comedy was shown in some sequences, which again does not justify this failure of the film. And I think the age rating of this movie is PG_13 no R . I hope no one else will waste their time on this movie.
Equally funny, fun, sensitive, enjoyeable, and serious to watch.
Great movie. Perfect comedic timing, loved the cast (joy to watch), characters, plot, and terrific pace. I watched it for Nina Dobrev and I really thought it was a "sick girl" movie; boy was I surprised - delightedly so.
I think it was actually well written as not to offend anybody. I especially loved the comedic timing of the cast and I actually laughed hard and loud on most jokes; it actually deserves to be in the comedy genre. The pace & transition of the story was perfect. Ending was properly done with appropriate realistic touch. The lessons/morals of the movie are there, albeit the motifs to almost every movie out there. I would totally rewatch this and will highly recommend this to people.

How do you take a controversial idea & then produce a heartwarming story of self discovery. Answer you hire Nina Dobrev to play the lead. From a desperate lie, guilt ridden Wren successfully rekindles friendships from years long past. While I enjoyed the film you are left feeling it could have been so much more. More meat on the bone was required to understand why these friendships were so important. Yet it's still fun & at times extremely awkward. What we are ultimately left with is a classic story of redemption. I guess we can all relate at some level. Supporting cast all did a good job with limited material. Sick Girl could have been terminal but Dobrev's charm never fails to draw you in. I guess she always has the cure. Still waiting to see her in a role worthy of her extensive talents. 7/10.
There is couple of laugh out loud moments and there is a lot of the cringe style comedy moments. The movie deals with cancer, friendship and growing up but is mostly lighthearted.
Nina Dobrev does a great job, the supporting cast is solid, no bad acting from anyone. Good chemistry.
Copy pasting because character limit

The title in itself is a pun, so I can say with confidence in this case: no pun intended. When it comes to the movie ... well I understand if some people have an issue with the movie. The theme is quite troubled to say the least ... that is quite serious and not funny for a lot of people. I'd say everyone has been in touch one way or another ... had it affect their own life or the life of people they love.
So the movie seemingly taking it lightly ... well it is quite offensive! That being said, the movie does point the finger to it and makes it clear the character is more than flawed ... and that it is more than wrong what she does .. she is not behaving like a grown up ... and Nina Dobrev clearly can act! And kudos to her going for quite the unlikable character to say the least.
Suspend your disbelief and go with the drama ... and the comedy if you skip being offended ...
