Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

FAQ

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

FAQ

Revisiting the 2014 film isn't necessary, but if you want to go into King of the Monsters with the story fresh in your mind, then it would be a good idea. Revisiting Kong: Skull Island might also be an idea, but that one is optional

According to Michael Dougherty, she's the MUTO Queen(Barb). He noted that "This one is different and older than the MUTOs we saw before, hence the 'crown' of dorsal ridges to express her royalty status." Additionally, he mentioned that "Her body is also covered with scars from past battles or mating rituals."

The motion capture footage of the behind-the-scenes shows the middle head being in control of the wings, though it's unclear how much control over the rest of the body the other two possess. It's worth noting that in real life examples of "multi-headed" life (more accurately conjoined twins), control is split between each head, with each usually controlling one half of the full body. Unlike Conjoined twins, Ghidora is an alien who is presumably supposed to have three heads, so he probably has some sort of neurological mechanism in place to deal with stuff like that. Perhaps the three brains are able to unconsciously communicate what they want the body to do via a neural node located at the point of spinal intersection, with the central head having veto power in the event of a three-way disagreement.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters takes 5 years after Godzilla (2014), the same amount of time between the two movies release years.
