A Walking Dead spin-off, set in Los Angeles, following two families who must band together to survive the undead apocalypse.
The choice of the first name "Madison" for the character played by Kim Dickens is generationally anomalous. The use of Madison as a first name for girls in the United States was statistically negligible until 1985, when it suddenly appeared on the Social Security Administration's list of the thousand most popular baby names of the year (ranked at number 627). The name, the origin of which historians attribute solely to the popularity of the 1984 movie Splash (in which the mermaid played by Daryl Hannah names herself "Madison" after the New York City avenue), soared in popularity throughout the 1980s and 1990s and landed in the top ten--where stayed for almost twenty years--in 1997. But even assuming that the character of Madison Clark is supposed to be as much as a decade younger than the actress who plays her (Kim Dickens was born in 1965) she still would have been extremely unlikely to have received the name "Madison" at birth.
