When a young man returns to his hometown to assist with a friend's trial it soon becomes clear that he isn't the beacon of success that everyone thought he was.
A murder trial in Ontario Canada, would not be held in ordinary (Provincial ) court. It would be held in Superior Court. Superior Court is a much more formal court. The Judge and everyone (lawyers, clerks etc) appearing before the court wear long black gowns and white wigs. The lawyers could not appear wearing sport jackets and a tie.
