The Actress is a comedic series with painful truths about the struggles of being a woman aging in the lower rungs of the industry. It shines a light on the bottom-feeding predators and scavengers sustaining themselves on the hopes of scores who spend countless years of their lives waiting for that big break and are constantly forced to settle and readjust their expectations. It's a series for anyone who has ever clawed and scraped and sacrificed for a dream - and for anyone who, in spite of it all, even when everything seems totally pointless, keeps going. Like a salmon struggling upstream. Or a lemming.
