Credits reveal that Digital Playground's dreadful "Step Sisters" sat on the shelf for over a year and a half before being released to a disinterested public. The days of Jesse Jane as contract star were already numbered, and this is one of her more embarrassing vehicles.
Culprit, as usual, is pornographer Robby D., who cranked out dull, who cares? rom-coms for DP for many years and with little impact. The label is more famous for its epic productions, such as the tropical sagas starring Tera Patrick and later the pair of "Pirates" super-productions which remain a high water mark in Adult Cinema in terms of ambitious budgets and resounding big-ticket sales figures.
It's a basic story of adults (Tommy Gunn and Ava Addams) marrying, dragging along their daughters to the new home and life together. Sole point of interest for me was their moving into the "Immoral Proposal" mansion, introduced by a shot of its iconic oval-paned doors, and later an okay backdrop for the sex action. Robby's approach is so slapdash and half-hearted that no one bothered to do any actual set dressing or decoration, so the same old potted plant is sitting in the foyer (as in scores of other videos shot there) and the beds and bedroom sets are all left over from other shoots.
Acting is truly miserable, as Robby prints and throws into the final edit any old line reading, and the cast is on their worst behavior. As the sisters, Jesse and the beautiful star from Poland Natalia Starr (minus her busty sister Natasha) act like kids in a lame attempt to inject some jail-bait content into a rather world-weary bit of casting. In the brief (only runs 3 minutes) BTS short subject Natalia reveals she's fresh off the boat, having only shot a half dozen Chatsworth videos before this clunker.
To put this into the story-line category requires quite a stretch, as nothing interesting happens. The girls hate each other at first sight but inevitably are crypto-incestuous lovers by the final fade-out. Haphazard structure has final sex scene merely daddy & mommy humping, a blah chance to see huge-breasted Ava in action for the umpteenth time. To call Gunn overworked would be an understatement.
