Growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles provided fertile inspiration for Michelle Morgan, director of the recent iTunes New Filmmaker Spotlight “It Happened in L.A.” (Click here to watch the film)
“I’m born and raised in La, so it’s a world that I know pretty well,” she said. “I lived in the city when I was a child and then I spent most of my young-adult years in the suburbs, so the city was always this mythical thing to us in the suburbs.”
“It Happened in L.A.” follows thirtysomething Annette (Morgan), her boyfriend, Elliot (Jorma Taccone), and her Bff, Baker (Dree Hemingway), as they navigate the perils of the bleak dating scene in Los Angeles. Is there such a thing as a perfect couple, or is that an urban myth?

In the sneak peek, audiences get a glimpse at the Will & Grace episode, which sees the gang revisiting Christmas in the early 20th century when times were very different.

Following Will & Grace is a very special holiday episode of Superstore. Hijinks ensue when Amy (America Ferrera) turns a boring Christmas Eve at Cloud 9 into a Christmas adventure.

Rob Huebel does a lot of weird stuff on his new series, “Do You Want to See a Dead Body?” But getting naked with Justin Long during the daytime in the middle of a tony Southern California beach community just might take the cake. Huebel created the show and stars as a version of himself who happens to be an ardent fan of finding corpses in Los Angeles and showing them to his famous friends. These include Adam Scott and Terry Crews, who appear in the pilot episode that was initially filmed for Comedy Central before the off-the-wall comedy series.

For his new YouTube Red series, Rob Huebel couldn’t find a nude beach to shoot a scene. So he forced a nude Justin Long on unsuspecting families at a beach in Malibu.
“We’re naked, and families are out there, children are crying, and other people are out there filming us with their phones,” Huebel told IndieWire’s Turn It On podcast. “The producers had to go up to people and say, ‘hey man, please don’t post that naked photo of Justin Long on the Internet or sell it to TMZ!”
Long is one of the guests on Huebel’s new irreverent YouTube Red series “Do You Want to See A Dead Body?” The comedy features Huebel and celebrity friends as they search for a dead body that Huebel has found.
“It’s such an absurd premise,” Huebel admitted. “Sometimes we find the body, sometimes we don’t find the body,...

There are crime shows on TV, but few of them follow the quote “It’s not about the journey, it’s about the destination” quite as literally as “Do You Want to See a Body?” The Rob Huebel-hosted mini-journeys around Los Angeles with some of the biggest names in comedy has a fresh batch of episodes premiering next month, and YouTube Red has a sneak peek.
John Cho, Terry Crews, Adam Scott, Judy Greer, Justin Long, Alexandra Daddario, and more are all along for the ride as Huebel takes them on dangerous trips to see/be haunted by/stumble upon/generally desecrate a dead body. Some of these trips to crime scenes involve bodily harm, threatened pride, and — by the looks of things with Mr. Cho — a little bit of light quicksand.
