If you have read Premchand ever then this film is then only watchable...
Made on a low budget and with almost no money on production, this one looks a tad dull and unrealistic in the times it has been released but if you ignore the faults and outdatedness, this one has a good story and some-what a right amount of adaptation of famous Munshi Premchand's renowned only Urdu novel Bazaar-e-Husn. Regarding about the performances, you will love Om Puri and Yashpal Sharma acts and then we have acts from Reshmi Ghosh and Jeet Goshwami who main characters who will make you leave the film midway but then the story interests you and then you keep watching it till the end even if you cannot avoid random songs in between. At last, it hasn't been in cinemas, so you can get a copy from DVD stores or online stores to watch this pleasurable but not satisfying book adaptation. It is much better than recent illogical blockbusters like Befikre, Ae dil hai mushkil and Raees.
