Alan Ritchson is now best known for ‘Fast X’ and ‘Reacher,’ a popular show based on Lee Child’s book series. He’s steadily rising as a major action star. But before landing big roles, Ritchson was just trying to break into Hollywood. He auditioned for the role of Marvel’s God of Thunder in the 2011 standalone movie ‘Thor.’ However, Ritchson admitted in his interview with Men’s Health that he didn’t take the role too seriously.
I didn’t take it seriously.I was like, They’ll throw me the part if I look like the guy; nobody really cares about acting.
This turned out to be wrong, as his audition for the role didn’t impress, and it eventually went to Hemsworth, who became iconic as the God of Thunder. It seems Ritchson was affected by this failed audition.
Before MCU’s Thor, Ritchson had already landed superhero roles.

Alan Ritchson is nowadays most associated with ‘Fast X’ and ‘Reacher’ an incredibly popular show based on a series of books written by Lee Child. He is slowly but surely becoming the biggest action name we have currently. But before he managed to score several big roles Ritchson was just looking for work trying to break it in Hoolywood and he found himself auditioning for Marvel’s God of Thunder for his 2011 standalone movie ‘Thor.’
Ritchson revealed however that he didn’t take the role too seriously in his interview with Men’s Health:

Rooster Teeth is moving its content from YouTube to its own website, a move designed to bolster revenue that will allow them to create more content.
In a video posted to X, showrunner Kerry Shawcross said that “YouTube revenue is just not cutting it for us anymore.” He noted that watching a video on the Rooster Teeth website with an ad delivers “five to ten times more value” to the company than a view on YouTube. “It just doesn’t make sense anymore for us to have our whole back catalog on YouTube.”
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Rooster Teeth celebrated its 20th anniversary this year as a production company. It is currently a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. Its popular streaming shows include Red vs. Blue and Camp Camp. It also released the feature film Lazer Team, and hosts the annual Rtx convention.

In the final episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," called "All Good Things..." (May 23, 1994), Capt. Picard (Patrick Stewart) had become unstuck in time and was randomly experiencing his past from seven years prior, his present, and his future 30 years hence, all out of sequence. This was an exciting premise for "Next Generation" Trekkies, as it allowed them to see one possible future for all their favorite characters. This has been a notable episode ever since the debut of "Star Trek: Picard" in 2020, as certain elements of the "All Good Things..." future timeline have sneakily made their way into the franchise's official canon.
For instance, "All Good Things..." features Picard tending to his family's winery, something he does in "Picard." "All Good Things..." also posited that Picard was diagnosed with Iromodic syndrome, a rare brain ailment. That syndrome becomes a plot point in the third season of "Picard." Notably, in both "All Good Things.

With Jack Ryan still awaiting its third season, Amazon’s supply of action heroes named Jack R. was running perilously low. Thankfully, the streamer announced today that it has cast the titular hero in its upcoming Jack Reacher TV series.
Alan Ritchson (Titans) will play the enormous lead in Amazon’s upcoming show based on Lee Child’s bestselling series of books.
We say “enormous lead” because, in addition to being an ex-Army major in the military police, Jack Reacher’s whole deal is being an absolute unit. Child’s beefy creation is said to be 6’5 and top the scales around 250 pounds. A popular pastime on social media is finding passages from Child’s books that describe Reacher’s mass and configurations in increasingly hyperbolic ways. The protagonist has been described as having fists the size of supermarket chickens, Thanksgiving turkeys, and dinner plates.

YouTube has concluded that its investments in original programming should have a home on the free, ad-supported side — not just tucked behind a paywall.
In a shift in strategy, the Google-owned video platform said that starting next year it will move to make all of its new original programming available for free for anyone to watch. With the change, YouTube is moving toward more mainstream celebrity-driven and creator-based reality fare, while it will continue to greenlight scripted productions.
Until now, YouTube Originals have mainly been available on its YouTube Premium subscription service, although YouTube also has expanded the shows and movies it makes available on an ad-supported basis.
“As we look to 2019, we will continue to invest in scripted programming and shift to make our YouTube Originals ad supported to meet the growing demand of a more global fanbase,” a YouTube rep said in a statement. “This next phase...

Tim Shey, most recently head of YouTube’s scripted original programming, has moved back into the startup world after leaving Google earlier this year.
Shey has been hired at language-learning app startup Duolingo, where he’s head of studios and content. Duolingo offers courses in 31 different languages, available in an ad-supported free version as well as a premium subscription version that starts at $9.99 per month. The company says it has more than 200 million users worldwide.
“I had a really amazing seven years at Google and YouTube,” Shey told Variety. “I wanted to see what other challenges were out there and get back into a startup environment… I always wanted to take another shot at building out a new studio from scratch.”
Shey said he was already a fan of the app and the company, and jumped at the opportunity to “use content and storytelling to make a meaningful impact on the way people learn.

Rooster Teeth's heroes have suited up once again and are ready to do battle with extraterrestrial foes. The Austin-based studio has released Lazer Team 2, a feature film that serves as a sequel to 2016's Lazer Team.

In the second film, all four of the lead actors reprise their roles as the titular team heads out on an adventure to save one of their own. A trailer showcases some of the action, comedy, and 80s references viewers can expect:

Crowdfunding projects looking to push further contributions can now make use of an exciting new tool. Kickstarter has announced Kickstarter Live, a live streaming option for its creative community.
Kickstarter Live, according to a blog post from the crowdfunding platform, will be a stage on which creators can “broadcast cooking shows, host live product demos, perform songs, play test games, rehearse a new play, countdown the final seconds of their campaign, and much more.” Clearly, Kickstarter is interested in throwing its hat into the competitive live streaming ring, but it is also look to earn its community some extra funds. Four heroes with super-powered suits of space armor are headed out to save the world...again. During a Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation, YouTube announced its plan to distribute a sequel to the Rooster Teeth feature film Lazer Team on its YouTube Red subscription service.
The original Lazer Team was Rooster Teeth’s first-ever feature-length film. After spending more than a decade building one of the Internet’s most dedicated fan communities, the Austin-based studio funded Lazer Team by raising more than $2.4 million on Indiegogo. A year later, the film was announced as one of the launch titles for YouTube Red, which costs $9.99 per month and offers access to premium content as one of its biggest selling points. Ultimately, the film arrived for Red subscribers in February of this year.
The first Lazer Team film followed its four leads, played by Burnie Burns, Michael Jones, Gavin Free, and Colton Dunn.

It doesn’t matter how much money you earn with your Kickstarter campaign — it’s never quite enough. Three days later, the campaign broke $1 million and, at the end of its month-long run, finished at over $2.4 million.

In 2008, Burnie Burns and Gavin Free of online entertainment and production company Rooster Teeth saw a YouTube video of an Indian man performing a cosmic head massage. Watching the video triggered an Asmr, or automated sensory meridian response, experience for them both, and the two became incredibly fascinated with this man, Baba Sen — known as the “cosmic barber.” Over the next eight years, Burns and Free continually discussed the phenomenon of Asmr — an experience of a relaxing sensation triggered by many things such as whispered voices — and hoped to be able to get a head massage from Baba one day.

Digital platforms are not shy when it comes to advertising their original programs. Finding those shows, however, is a trickier proposition -- and it’s not always easy.
On February 10th, several months after its launch, YouTube Red launched its first pieces of original content. The subscription service, which costs $9.99 per month, is now home to four original programs -- Scare PewDiePie, A Trip To Unicorn Island, Lazer Team, and Dance Camp -- and will host at least six more over the next few months.
YouTube’s Red originals are led by some of its most prominent creators, and in the days leading up to February 10th, those creators embarked on a promotional blitz. Unicorn Island star Lilly Singh, for example, appeared on several TV programs, as did Scare PewDiePie’s Felix Kjellberg.
