"Open Your Heart" is a campaign designed to target young adults and provide awareness for 'healthy hearts' via the use of online fundraising, social media trends, and viral cross promotion. J.W. Cudd, a Pop/Country Artist, created the song, "Open Your Heart" in hopes of it providing significant funding for the American Heart Association's legacy of public education and research. This song will be released in online music stores across the nation; J.W. CUDD will donate 100% of net proceeds to the American Heart Association, but in no event less than a total donation of 25% per sales price of "Open Your Heart" song from February 5, 2015 to December 31, 2015. As of February 2014, Cudd and his crew gathered photo submissions from celebrities, fans, and individuals to complete the video. Fifty - sixty actors ranging over today's hottest shows and movies donated their time to ensure the campaign's success. Cudd says, "Open Your Heart" (Michelle's Song) is "Very bittersweet and personal. One of my good friends, Michelle Liedke, came upon the ending of her life at twenty-four-years-of-age. She supported the American Heart Association's endeavors and was an advocate of their work due to some heart complications she was born with. When she told me she'd be going into surgery to receive a new pacemaker in February (2013) I never thought errors would arise . . . I told her I loved her, and that was the last thing I ever got to say. Michelle was one of those people who could light up the room as soon as she walked in. She was a social butterfly, and I can honestly say, she was the only person I've ever met who was purely positive and non-judgmental . . . Michelle's heart was always open, and when people hear the song, I hope they take that same love she had for mankind and open theirs. After all, the American Heart Association provides education and research for ALL of humanity's future. It may be in America, but the message is Universal for any living organism with the human anatomy." The song was written and composed by J.W. Cudd and Aaron Kellim. Cudd has charted on the European Country Music Association and Texas Music Charts. Kellim, an organic songwriter who is best known for his involvement with the bands Gin Blossoms and One Lone Car. However, the song didn't fully evolve without the help of gold and platinum accredited producer, Andrew Lane. Lane is best known for working with The Backstreet Boys, Kelly Rowland, and Irene Cara. His extensive discography is also highly glamorized by having involvement in the wide-selling albums, "High School Musical," "Hannah Montana," and "Disneymania 4." The song and video are set for an online debut of February 2, 2015, courtesy of Big Grey Horse Publishing.
