It's interesting, but one of his lesser shows. It's pretty telling that it only has six episodes, and one of them is a clip show! Bear traces the steps of real-life wilderness survivors with the aid of dramatic recreations (often with other stand-ins), archival footage, and interviews with the real survivors themselves, a few years later of course. Production has the same high standards as the other Bear shows, and he is as engaging a host as ever, but the whole show feels like a filler between Bear's more exciting projects. I would recommend it mainly to his completists; newbies can start elsewhere. *** out of 4.
