I binge watched the show even though I found the violence a bit over the top! Blanca Soto, what an actress! I think the producers struggled after her death because the starting episodes of season 3 are weak and if you're one of the loyal fans, you'll still be mourning Sara until the show picks up again, which it does. Brilliant performances by Jorge Zarate, Michel Duval, and Carolina Miranda, my favourites throughout, besides Sara. All in all I enjoyed the series and I would watch it over and over again if there weren't so many series on Netflix now. Kudos to you Roberto Stopello for creating such an unforgettable show!

floralqui8 February 2020I watched the whole story beginning to season 4 and it was beautiful story even after they added Carolina Miranda as the coyote which was okay. I just lost interest during season 5 the story was too dark and uncertain. I think the minute Blanca Soto was killed as the main character in the first place the producers struggle to keep the audience but it was good until end of Season 4.

jaybizman12 November 2020Mexican Star/Model/Producer, 5ft 10ins Blanca Soto headlines this gripping series about the Drug Cartels in Mexico, and I learned (perhaps more than I ever wanted to) about the inhuman culture and thought processes of the Kingpins and their Cartel members.
Example(s): Don't get married, other Cartels will kidnap your wife, ditto with your kids or even a full time girlfriend; whatever your weak spot is, the Cartels will exploit it - so stay in the Ranch House, just like a gang - drink and rent girls as and when. No problemo. Loyalty is an absolute, step out of line and you're dead. Simple.
At times overly violent and bloody, Blanca gives a great performance becoming the Lady Boss after an unfortunate event, and whatever the men can do, she'll show that she can do it better and more profitable.
Long series, about 170 odd episodes and you'll need to use the CC at times, although a lot of English is also used. So sit back, enjoy the wild and bullet-ridden ride; they don't make them like this anymore.

nsxbill21 June 2018I don't speak Spanish. So glad the show has subtitles. I started watching after I finished Celia, the Grand Hotel, and The Lord of the Skies. The segments are fun to watch, and I just can't help but count the number of times the actors state, "¿Que?" I also can't believe that Telenova only had Blanca Soto sign only a two year contract! I doubt she will amazingly come back from the dead, but who really knows? One of the most beautiful women on Television, without a doubt!
The absolute worst acting on the show was by "Teca." Every time someone was after him, I tried to yell at them, "He's in the next room." Too bad his baseball career ended. He was a much better pitcher than actor.
Watching these telenovelas in seasons of 70-90 episodes is what I really like. Lots of action, romance, and sex. Even though all of it starts with the guys shirt being pulled over his head, and the women all having sex, but with their bras on, or getting out of the sack, post coitus wearing bras and panties, must represent a new way of getting naked like everyone else does?..
Fun show to watch. I completely enjoy viewing it. Very addictive.show! -
gunshots389 September 2017I love watching foreign language films and shows Chinese, Japanese, South Korean, French etc. I started watching Señora Acero at the start of the year got hooked on it from drama to violence and crime everything a show or film needs to be enjoyable!. Blanca Soto is a amazing actress one in which I will be keeping an eye out for in the future.
Don't get me wrong there are issues with the show for one its hard to find episodes that are English subbed I live in Ireland so going onto the Telemundo is out of the option because I'm not in Mexico or America and their YouTube channel does not have all the full episodes so you miss a lot of what happens and not all the episodes are subbed and a few that are not subbed properly!! which is FRUSTRATING!!. Even their DVD's can be hard to find and they're not subbed either I understand some Spanish not a lot. Even with these issues I love it I hope they will get there act together and realize they are missing an opportunity to broadcast it worldwide for millions more to view because not everyone understands Spanish but they still enjoy watching Foreign films subtitled and this is one of the best crime drama television shows I have seen. -
susanaweingarten6 February 2021Good entertainment for a while, each season is different. some actors and actresses are very charismatique, some are annoying and look SO PLASTIC like the Venezuelan woman police/criminal, so BAD! her breathing technique is the worse I have ever seen, before each word is like vomiting and she seems like a real unhappy plastic china doll. On the 5th season the actor who plays the Teca is horrid! his voice is annoying as well as his acting. Yet some actors are full of charisma and make this soap a fun one to have in the background while cleaning the house.

They are so addicting, I have got my coworkers and friends watching this show. I was hesitant with the third series, but holly hell it is just as good if not better the the first and second season. Def a must watch and get ready to be in hibernation!!

I am glad they had this with english subtitles. I watched this after watching Senor El Dos Cielos (which was also amazing). But this one is my favorite! What great performance by Blanca Soto. Shes gorgeous and very charming on the screen!! Was very sad to see her depart! She brings a lot of sensitivity to the character. Very wonderful!!!

Everything could be shot in half the episodes taken, half a season instead.
The good guys always point their guns at the baddies and talk and talk and talk a lot instead of killing them.
Thereafter the baddies escape and in turn start hunting and capturing/abducting/raping the good guys, or killing them... Then, the good guys seek revenge and hunt the bad guys down, AND point their guns at the baddies and lecture at them a lot again instead of shooting and the latter escape again. And the cycles goes in and on.. THAT'S WHY IT'S SO DRAGGY. Haha
Bad acting by a few, especially the villain character Teca Martinez. He cannot act for nuts, too overact, his eyes expressions.
The car chases are the most comical, the vehicles are all moving so slow but they are acting so anxious 😂 -
awesomexxxgirl13 April 2022Started this show a week ago and honestly it's such a good binge will definitely last quite a while. Found it on netlfix didn't think much of it now on season 2 and I can't stop watching the twists, betrayal, drama and action is amazing and soo addicting and to top it of the gem of this whole show mrs acero who is astonishing to say the least her power and road of revenge is such a journey and actinggg is 10/10.

pariroym13 September 2021What on earth happens in season 5? El Teca Martinez is somehow alive and ready to revenge again? This is too much!!!! He got basically 2 sons instead of 1, Alvaro and Romero. Sara Acero got one bullet and immediately died and El Teca got 15 bullets and didn't die. Like what??? And El Teca was in American prison for the last 10 years and he didn't contact his men to kill Salvador and Indio Amaro. They should ended at season 4. That's it. And also Indio Amaro didn't die for 4 seasons. Like he is immortal as a vampire. Erik Q killed so many and has 2 wifes plus on top cheating both of them with others women and with all of this he join the politics. What a joke! Also La Tuti is the most hilarious, speaking with Barbie dolls and when she's talking, everybody silent and listening like she's got verbal vomiting. She slept with almost all the men in the show. That Indira Cardenas playing victim but she's nothing but a fking btch. Mario Casas a psychopath bipolar which police never catch him and he walks on streets like a free man. This show should be named El Indio Amaro or Josefina. Josefina is the one who wins at the end like she's the senora Acero. Salvador die in hospital because of battle with El Teca so basically everything Sara did was in vein. All the good people died and the bad ones live. 395 total episodes. Too long for a telenovela.

I kept trying to watch it, but on Season 2, I had enough. Gosh, this would make people suicidal. So many of these shows go on and on and they get boring. Put some happy stuff on, there is enough depressing stuff that happens in peoples lives.

mcbalu311 June 2021Characters like Salvador,Rooster,Tuti and Amaro Indio pulled the show. Almost all the women characters were blabber mouths and the woman of steel is no metal but feather. Making faces,swearing and oft repeated swearings were predictable. I think with the 3rd season they should have stopped. La Coyote was no better than the woman of steel. The whole screenplay was corny.

pilar-3330815 March 2019Lots of action and sex ....action is a plus but a good show does not need sex to be so explicit. Also there was too much anti republican propaganda.All the actors did an excellent job and the show has a great story. It shows how beautiful Mexican scenery is.

This show could have finished in 2.5seasons instead of 5 seasons, without the constant flashing back, replaying of older scenes that have already been shown. Quite annoyingly draggy, all these replaying of old scenes.

Terrible how she got killed at the end that's why I watched it and took time to read it. You can have annoying Tuti I fast forward it when she comes on. She should have been taken off not Blanco Sota so annoying Screechy voice and all.
You tried to make a brand new show by killing all the old actors smh 🤦♀️
