Velma discovers she's inherited her great-great-uncles' cursed castle in Transylvania, Pennsylvania. This Scooby-Doo adventure has enough spooky fun to make the whole family come alive!
There is clearly a connection between this movie and Son of Frankenstein (1939). Velma's ancestor is named Basil which is clearly a reference to the late Basil Rathbone who portrayed Baron Wolf von Frankenstein in Son of Frankenstein (1939). Through out the movie the ester eggs connecting the two movies are plenty (e.g. Inspector Krunch's and his fake hand refers to Inspector Krogh portrayed by Lionel Atwill who also had his hand replaced).
Halt! Before you go any further, I must inform you of two facts. One: these parts are not food.
Mrs. Vanders: They are the parts the baron rejected for his creature.
Shaggy Rogers: Zoinks! Like, what's the other fact?
Mrs. Vanders: That at what you sit is not a table.
