• Severe
  • The player can use a variety of bladed weapons to kill or assassinate human enemies. The violence is highlighted by very brief blood splattering. Blood stains remain on enemies and on walls when they are killed.
  • There is a lot of hand to hand combat, which will result in semi-brutal, non lethal finish moves, examples, knee to the face. When you fight, small amounts of blood is sometimes-rarely seen.
  • You can shoot tranquilizer darts to buy more time.
  • In one cutscene, Arno has a flashback of his father being stabbed. No blood but is shocking and intense.
  • In one scene, a farmer looks into his field and sees that his livestock was attacked by wolves (mild gore), nothing worse than man vs wild. But it is very brief.
  • The French Revolution is known for being a dark and violent event in history. This game does not shy away from showing beheadings by the Guillotine. Whilst this may seem gory, the violence itself is not depicted onscreen, only the aftermath.
  • It is implied that a character is decapitated on the streets. His severed head is later briefly shown. Quite disturbing but brief.
  • A man's leg is sawn off. He squirms and screams in agony as he is held down before passing out. It is implied the man was living in poverty and is intended to be thrown back out onto the street.
