Hi there this is my first review The first thing that made me watch this anime was it's convincing poster that had faces clearly resolved and focused. The sharpness of Yona's eyes caught me. The characters and the concept are quite interesting. The story has been set in ancient time which focused on the partriarchal, poverty, blind faith stricken, male centred society. The story is influenced by Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures. I love almost all the characters right from their looks, thoughts and personality. Every character has something to teach. My most favorite one is Yona. She sure is frail, weak, childish but at the same time is considerate, determined, strong willed and someone who cares for her self respect. She respects the ideology her father held. She doesn't dream to be the princess but wants to be the one who people will know for her kindness. The series all in all is a must watch for all viewers fond of historic fiction genre. I gave it 9/10 only to watch the next season. I would like to watch more about Yona and Hak. And once again Yona love u
