  • I liked the series. The cars featured GTO's and Trans Am's rock. Great scenes , sunsets, clarity and background music good. Castillo is a genius in this piece. She has the strength to rebound from events. I plan to visit all the places featured in the film. This is a masterpiece of work. Check out featured items in the background scenes. The richness of watches, boats, houses, dinner chairs and belt buckles. Yes, I said belt buckles. The belt buckles featured and clothes are a perfect fit for the 1977ish lifestyle. The opening theme song is a must on any music player. The song motivates me to become successful. I feel there are any dull moments in any of the episodes that I have watched. I would recommend this to adults to watch and parental supervision. Its worth it!

    1/10
    Awful
It's an insult to any viewer's intelligence. Anyone who has loved Kate del Castillo in her earlier roles will hate her in this one.

Sadly I have to agree with the negative reviews. The main problem was the storyline which was much too long and poorly scripted. The Chile episode was not needed and should have been cut. The only saving aspect was the good acting by the senior actors who did a good job with what they were given - I suspect that Leandro was ad- libbing - but he was still very good. The endless sex was a turnoff which happened.!
  • Probably the worst Narco telenovela of all times.

Very very weak acting and very amateur roles. There are great actors but some are just not ready for such a well advertised series.

I guess the "Narcos" subject is too tired now, there has been many many different productions about same story .... some good, some bad but this one must be in my opinion the worst of all. Too much blood, just killing killing killing..... no drama, no engaging, no strong story..!

Some of the sequences don't make any senses whatsoever, is like having 10 different scenarios but they don't cross each other at any point which makes 10 different stories without any relation.

Unfortunately, and without any offence Varoni's role was not great. He cant pass from being Pedro el escamoso to be a drug lord.... is just doesn't match either looks good.

I hope the voice actors have is used for a happier purpose, rather than showing what we all are bored of which is drugs and killing... I hope there are more better stories produced and that the Latin talent is used in a better different way.

    Thanks
  • Great actors but that is about it. Barraza, Del Castillo, Dalton and some others do a great job (Varoni is awful, trying to be a memorable character). This has to be the worst narcotelenoleva ever. I have seen most of them. The production values of DDP are almost nonexistent. It lacks logic and continuity. One day they say Leandro Quezada has cancer and has two months to live and then nobody mentions it and he makes plans that should take longer than two months. Sometimes they are having diner and then the actions moves to something that is supposed to take place simultaneously and is day time! Gina's baby is aging backwards: one day they say he is two months old and in a subsequent episode they say he is one month old. After 7 months Renato's cut in his neck still has not healed. This telenovela is really, really bad. Way too many errors. They even forget that the story is supposed to take place in 1977! No wonder in an interview, when asked if she would do a sequel, the protagonist said that some things needed to be fixed first.

I accept that telenovelas are a mix of drama. soap, thriller, but this one was padded with far too many soapy sub-plots. Enjoyed the first 10 episodes, but gave up when the main plot disappeared into a soapy swamp.
