The story of a young businesswoman who tries to convince her uptight parents to accept her current boyfriend and instead finds herself falling for an old high school flame.
It's stated in the "goofs" section about this movie, that at the Mayfield party, Richard's character says hello to Gridley but calls him Richard instead of Gridley. Actually, it's Gridley (with his back to the camera) saying hello to Richard. A closer look shows that Richard simply raises his eyebrows a bit at Gridley then gives a half-smile with no words being spoken, by Richard, until they take photos together and give their names.
What is this? We thought you were still seeing that Richard person.
Josie Mayfield: Well, you didn't approve of Richard, so I started seeing other people. He's on the back burner right now.

The generator, once operating, is never referred to again, it which would have been operating well over twelve hours, if not longer, without either the Mayfields acknowledging that it was in fact Gridley who got their power going again, or the possibility that someone may have needed to refuel it especially in it powering their entire large house.
