Yikes, another dud for Dolph. This plot has been done to death, by every wannabe action star and it still sucks. The plot is overdone, the dialogue is boring and the acting marginal. He was a terrible actor in his prime and it seems that he hasn't improved - so really practice does not at all make perfect.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Michael (Dolph Lundgren) goes up against Goro (Hal Yamanouchi ) who has a party held hostage for $150 million. Michael manages to escape and notify his Interpol group. Cat and mouse at the mansion.

Fairly straight forward and rather boring action film. The faux family drama didn't make it. It was just a bad script.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
  • Words cannot express how horrible this movie is. Who signs off on it's production? Are they proud of their work? Do they have any concept of shame? There is nothing else to say besides save the 1.5 hours of your life and read a book. In summary, don't waste your time. It is a disaster, very bad acting, very bad camera scenes, very bad movie effects, very bad everything. The voters are probably their friends and neighbors, because u can´t vote more than 2 if u are person with the normal taste for movies.
  • I'm not sure what Dolph is thinking being in such a terrible movie. It's awful in every way possible, and I thought his last movie I've seen The Tracker was terrible but this was even worse. I could hardly get through this movie but the absurdity of the acting, writing, special fx made me laugh. Dolph should've just retired after Aquaman, seems he's in competition with Steven Seagal of who can make the most bad movies...
  • We watched this not expecting cinematography brilliance, but simple non-cerebral entertainment. But it was so bad. It looked as if Dolph either has severe body damage and constant pain, restricting his movement, or he just didn't give a damn about a modicum of realism. When sneaking up on the bad guys he makes no effort to achieve stealth; he just walks around! He doesn't hide but still doesn't get hit by lots of automated weapons fire then offloads a couple of pistol rounds and the bad guys fall around dying. There is no blood when bad guys are stabbed and bodies dragged away. It is just as if no one cared about any pretense of realism. We laughed most of the way through this movie. But, hey, I guess that counts as some form of entertainment.

Let's start with the whole Interpol thing!!! Interpol is one of the oldest, largest and most famous law enforcement agencies in the world. ... The only problem is most of what people think Interpol does is fiction. Its agents aren't allowed to make arrests, don't carry guns, and rarely leave the office.

That's just the start. It gets so much worse! The acting... WTF, when was it okay to not give a dam about a project you are working on!
  • It's not like the writers and directors are newbs to allow such plot-hole ridden convoluted and choppy screenplay go to production. Camera work was ok, but Giorgio Bruno failed to direct his cast. Then the lousy editing didn't help either. The score was also atrocious. Cinematography, production values and casting was decent. Good to see Natalie Burn and her usual hotness from her last film Acceleration where she looked like Criss Angel lol. Nevertheless, I've seen much worse B films, and Lundgren was good in this one and some decent action scenes. Acceleration was better imo, but I still saw this one to the end and never fell asleep, so it's a generous 5/10 from me.

This is what happens when you watch too many action movies and have lots of resources and you think making an action film is easy peasy! At some point I thought they were practicing or shooting for another film, someone filmed them and released as a movie! What a waste!
  • Don't listen to the 10/10 guy, the movie is terrible.

The acting, the fight scenes and the writing is terrible with that said could this movie have been a hit yes. You would need to get a couple different actors i am sorry but Dolphs fight scenes are awful and slow he can barely move it appears. The story line needs a lot of tweeks first no trained agent who takes a pistol off someone and has fired almost the whole clip leaves rifles and ammo on guys he shot. He would take the weapons and ammo check for ID and also take the radio so he could hear what they were saying. In one scene he rescues a guy there are two rifles and pistols plus who know what else on the guys he had taken down literally at the feet of the guy he rescued. Did they each pick up a weapon ? No did they take a radio ? a Knife, anything at all from these guys ? No i don't know about you but even someone who is not trained with the agency, the military or the police when in danger from armed men are going to grab any weapon they can find. This is lazy writing. I have a half hour left i will not give away any spoilers i will give my whole review when i have seen the rest. Right now 2 stars is fair but depending on the ending that could change. I still believe this could have been a movie worth watching with better writing and casting Dolph could have been it but not as the star action hero those days are gone i am afraid. Watch his fight scenes and tell me i am wrong. Of course the worse action hero of all time is Steven Segal with his one move and fat gut at east Dolph look like he is in good shape and i don't know maybe with a double or better training he could pull of this role all i can do is judge it on what i see.

NOT ALL low-budget movies should have negative Ratings, it is unfair, in Latin America nods like this type of movies, but, if you don't like it and you're American, don't watch it, but don't destroy the ratings of the movies, just because of prejudices.

Check before voting do not do that damage to the seventh art.
  • I am a die hard fan of Dolph Lundgren i see a lot of hates on this movie a lot of bad reviews but i don't think this movie is ever that bad to honest because i thought this had full on action it was fun film. i thought this had some issues with film not just script like some of fight scenes had shaky cams, in it and when Dolph was kicking guy head by 6 inches i know that but maybe they did a

rehearsal but they mistaken to put that scene in film, and believe me i have seen a lot worser Dolph Lundgren movies like Cover Up, Last Patrol AKA Last Warrior, Pentathlon, Retrograde, Agent Red, 4GOT10, Altitude a lot worse watch them then watch this film, this was like Die Hard in a Party type of film Dolph did film like Command Performance. and yeah i rather watch this movie then me watching The Tracker because at least this isn't a slow movie this had tons fun action. the film has nice cinematography in it, action scenes was fun, and action was really fun fast pacing, cast really worked well like Natalie Burn actress who played from other Dolph Lundgren films In The Name of King 2, Expendables 3, Acceleration to this film she did fine in film and her usual hotness from her last film Acceleration where she looked like Criss Angel but in this movie she is totally badass chick in film she kinda steals movie kinda.

story follows Michael Anderson (Dolph Lundgren) is Interpol operation him and his team Emma (Natalie Burn), Giuliano Rossini (Mario Opinato) they were on mission to catch criminals after Interpol Michael has to meet up at dinner party he has wife Mary Anderson (Sinne Mutsaers) and his Diana (Chiara Arrigoni) daughter suddenly their was mercenary soldiers main villain Goro (Hal Yamanouchi) and everyone has held hostage by 15-20 armed men they are their for $150,000,000 hidden under building. so then that's when all hell broke loose Dolph is in mission to save his family and fighting against

Mercenary's. the film was fun to watch i thought it was fast paced great action, some of fight scenes had bit of shaky cam i could not see to much of fight scene like your watching Bourne films when Bourne fights with shaky cams i hate that but it doesn't put me out of movie, it's one of those movies you would watch if it's cornavirus and your struck at home or if it's a raining day outside this is something you would watch for Dolph Lundgren because i am super Die Hard fan of him and his a great action star but i know that someone can give him a better role but lately he should off been in better movies like bigger budgeted films not something like this i wish this film could been better if Dolph could have directed film and make movie for himself like how he did to Command Performance that film is MUCH BETTER then to this film their 2 similar films like Command Performance Die Hard in a rock concert and Hard night falling is like Die Hard in a Dinner Party short of type of action movie 6.10 if your die hard fan of Lundgren you will probably like this movie

    Warning: Spoilers
HARD NIGHT FALLING is another routine DIE HARD clone shot on a tiny budget with a tired, seemingly past-it lead actor, this time in the form of Dolph Lundgren. Nobody is making any kind of effort here so it's unsurprising that it's such a bored and drawn-out film. This time around terrorists take over a dinner party but it's more melodrama than tension and the fight scenes, although plentiful, are by rote. Watch out for chief bad guy Hal Yamanouchi, the same guy who turned up in scores of Italian post-apocalypse flicks back in the 1980s...

Just terrible. I don't often rate a movie 1 because I can usually find some redeeming qualities, somewhere, anywhere. This is a very, very, very easy 1.

I wrote almost because this could have been a big hit except for the writing, the casting and the acting. First let me tell you how this would have been a hit switch the action hero from Dolph to Natalie Burns ! This would have been a great movie that empowered women and at the same time been a movie everyone male or female that likes action movies would have enjoyed. The writing was awful a seasoned veteran agent takes down two guys he knows there at least 20 more does he take their rifles and ammo ? Does he check for ID ? Does he take a radio so he can hear what they are saying ? No to all of these and more in one scene he rescues a guy and there are two men literally laying at their feet do they take their weapons ? No i don't care if your not military trained, police trained etc.. If armed men are trying to kill you the first thing you do is arm yourself. In another scene the leader of the "bad" guys and his right hand man are a few feet away from Dolph does he shoot no because he only has a pistol. Fast forward there are a half a dozen guys crossing the lawn he shoots with his pistol and only gets one and one of his men trapped down. Both situation even someone who was not a good shot could have fired and automatic rifle and taken out the "bad" guys see where i am going with the bad writing. I don't want to go thru the whole film that would take to long but Dolphs fight scenes were awful they were slow and he looked his age. Now Natalie's character shows up a couple hours after this started and she takes out more bad guys in the first 15 minutes than Dolph did the whole movie. Her character dis-arms a bomb but again this scene was terribly written. They don't give any dialogue for her to say this was luck and had her wait until there was literally 1 second left. In the military we never ever have had a bomb wait until 1 second left to disarm again this is suppose to be believable. In the beginning they showed this team working another case that would have been the time to add her characters ability to dis-arm bombs it would have tied in so nicely together. Recap bad movie but if who ever owns the rights to this re-made it with better writers and Natalie as the star you would have a hit movie. This would not be a movie we they try and force a woman as the star just to be P/C This would be a great action movie that happens to have a woman as the star. I hope they think about re-writing this and having Natalie Burn's as the star she was the one bright spot in the whole movie.

Although it's a paycheck potboiler, director Giorgio Bruno's "Hard Night Falling" manages to entertain with its formulaic action tropes, and for that reason alone, this 85-minute actioneer kept me occupied. The favorite first scene occurs after the plot has unfolded and everybody has been taken hostage by an Asian terrorist in an Italian villa. Dolph's wife ends up trapped with these unfortunates, but he is able to get his daughter out of harm's way. Apparently, Dolph works for Interpol, and he has his own version of an A-Team. Anyway, our hero gets into a face to face fight with one of Goro's minions. Dolph, being the big lug that he is, cannot connect with any of his haymakers, but the smaller, more nimble henchmen kicks him repeatedly, but to little effect. Imagine kicking a statue. Dolph moves with such clumsy dexterity that the scene verges on being hilarious. Eventually, he takes down his adversary, but it is fun watching this shrimp tangle with this giant! The second scene . . . and boy was it a shocker. I wasn't prepared for this turn of events. This came right out of the blue. Meantime, the action scenes are orchestrated with elan. Hal Yamanouchi makes a splendid villain who doesn't have to raise his voice to command attention. Indeed, he almost gets away with everything. Curiously, there are some interesting scene that you wouldn't normally see in a exploitation epic like this that make you think. One of Dolph's snipers takes out Goro's sniper, but the guy recovers despite the severity of his wound to shoot the sniper who shot him earlier. Payback can be a terrible thing. The scene where Dolph's wife treats a gunshot victim with a severed tampon and tells a bystanding villain that a French surgeon used them to stop wounds from bleeding was interesting. Dolph's wife extracts the bullet, but . . . making this a gritty movie. Look out for Ukrainian lovely Natalie Burn, who plays another of Dolph's A-Team. She is a deadly dame indeed with her bullet-proof vest and her acrobatic moves. She carves up several beefy henchmen in a stairway. Some of these unwittingly villains conveniently let her know about their impending presence when their laser sighting mechanism warned her in advance of their progress. "Hard Night Falling" is worth its time.
  • Very unattractive, does not involve, shallow characters, uninteresting, repetitive and unattractive story, I let it go until the end for convenience ... It did not impact...
