I live in Indonesia, and I've just seen it since it aired today. The action scenes are good, the de-aging of early SHIELD Agents are great. I can't really notice in seeing Fury. That's it. Those are the good things about this movie. Brie Larson comes off as snobbish when she quips like Tony Stark, but became boring and unlikeable the more she does it. There are moments in the action scenes when it's all CGI that looks like it came from a PS3 game. Comedy is sub-par. Worth of nose exhale at least.

To quote Laura Clifford, "Captain Marvel is a boring mishmash of ideas from a score of other movies and franchises".

Trivia

To prepare for her role as Captain Marvel, Brie Larson trained for four hours a day over nine months, learning judo, boxing, and wrestling. She also visited Nellis Air Force Base and met with active duty airmen, including Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt and Thunderbirds pilot Major Stephen Del Bagno, who died in a crash and whom the movie pays tribute in the credits. He, and other members of the unit, had given Brie Larson the callsign "Sparrow".

Quotes

Carol Danvers: I'm not gonna fight your war. I'm gonna end it.

Goofs

Vers changes out of her "scuba suit" and into clothes she takes off of a mannequin. She then rides off on a motorcycle without her suit. Yet later on when she is ready to fly into space, she has the suit on again even though she left it back at the store.

There is no evidence that she left the suit at the store; the mannequin she took the clothing from is stripped bare, and the suit is not seen lying around. Given the properties demonstrated by the suit elsewhere in the movie (particularly the space helmet that forms by itself), it is probable that the entire suit uses some kind of nanoparticle construction that can re-form into different configurations. This kind of technology has been seen being used elsewhere in the Kree's sphere of influence. The suit might simply deconstruct into a small container that can be put in a pocket.

Crazy Credits

There is a scene at the end of the closing credits: Goose the cat regurgitates the Tesseract.
