The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
Although Joss Whedon directed the first two Avengers movies, he did not return to direct either of the next two Avengers movies. Some cast members later admitted that Whedon had a difficult time directing such a close group of actors and actresses, since every creative difference he had with a single person would often lead to a discussion with the others as well. Instead, the Russo Brothers, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War (2016), directed this movie and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
