Neeraj Pandey was in the midst of shooting Baby (2015) when Arun Pandey, the manager of Dhoni, offered him an opportunity of making a biopic based on Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Scene when Dhoni (Sushant Singh Rajput) is asked to hand over the papers to the TTE's in 2 different trains and both the trains arrive at the same time at different platforms. Train numbers mentioned by his senior are 8013UP and 802 Down.
Dhoni misses the 2nd train and as per the train board, the train is 12277 Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express in LHB coaches . However, LHB coaches to the Howrah-Puri Shatabdi were given by IR only in 2013 and the above scene in Dhoni real life would have occurred in early 2000 or late 90's.
Just before the main credits, a clip of real M. S. Dhoni from the 2011 Cricket World Cup is shown.
