Political drama series about the fraction of the VPN, a free-spirited progressive party that stands for openness in politics. Each episode is in line with the topicality of the week of broadcast.
To further emulate the hyper-realism of the show, cast members also portrayed their characters on Twitter, commenting on current events and even interacting with actual MP's and reporters (Twitter is very popular amongst Dutch politicians). On February 5, 2015, this even led to a heated exchange between the show's Tim Snel (portrayed by Joris Smit) and real VVD MP Ton Elias. Smit, as Snel, tweeted about atrocities committed by the Islamic State. Elias then criticized the show and its 'fake politician' for using ISIS' atrocities for self-promotion. Smit, still in character as Snel, jokingly responded: "@TonElias, are you real?"
