I expected "The Cult" from Harmony Films to be a supernatural opus, perhaps inspired by Aleister Crowley, the cult figure so influential to porn, analogous to the Poe & Lovecraft inspirations in mainstream horror cinema. But Gazzman delivers an all-sex feature instead, expertly performed by talented troupers.
Picture was shot, probably in Spain, in Spring 2012 on a schedule overlapping with Gazzman's "Whore Hotel", featuring many of the same cast members. Notable is Skin Diamond on a working European vacation as the leader of the cult.
The five sex vignettes have the women always in charge, delivering BDSM lesbian scenes as well as dominating the only two males cast, both Latins, Marco Banderas and Olivier Sanchez. Another Spanish player, who evidently never traveled to America to make porn, is an attractive but indistinctive Blonde, Yaiza Del Mar.
But stealing the show is a personal favorite of mine who unfortunately never found a wide audience, Euro starlet Linet Slag. She dominates segment #2 (domination is the film's main theme throughout), unveiling her perfect natural breasts and their fabulous nipple cones, which Gazzman distorts and magnifies with wide angle lens photography.
Slag has a threesome with both Banderas and Sanchez, delivering various d.p.'s and impressively styled to accentuate her high-forehead hair line hair style.
Elsewhere Diamond is in control, delivering a few lines of verbal exposition about the cult, and treating the other girls roughly. Italian superstar Valentina Nappi, billed only as Valentina here before traveling to Chatsworth, is tremendous whether dom or submissive, and the lengthy opening lesbian threesome of them with Brit Porn star Megan Coxxx is memorably outre. It covers many bases, from latex fetish-gear to breast-sex (ladies' style), strap-on action and even speculum/medical instruments, all performed sensually rather than mere gonzo.
Yaiza shows up in the final sequence, with a red and black color scheme basement lit by candles as she abuses fellow countryman Sanchez, and he loves it.
Despite its lack of story line, which limits the show to wall-to-wall porn hounds, "The Cult" packs a wallop.
