The title "Pride & Prejudice: Alternate US Ending" for this 2-minute clip from 2006 (has its 10th anniversary this year) says it all. This is an alternate ending to the successful film "Pride and Prejudice", a fairly decent movie I guess. I cannot say I enjoyed the watch at all. Donald Sutherland's laughing to the camera was fairly cringeworthy already here, but the negative highlight was surely the final conversation between the two young protagonists, especially when it comes to Matthew Macfadyen's character. The whole thing is basically him saying "I love you" to her for the entire time. People who love stupid cheesy and over-the-top romantic stuff may enjoy it, but I personally saw zero substance in this movie. Besides, these magical three words lose their meaning at some point when you say them too often and it's nothing special anymore. Acting wasn't particularly great either. All in all, I cannot recommend these two minutes here. Very weak stuff and 4 out of 10 is still a very gentle rating as it's mostly a failure what we see in here.
