Oa had himself one lousy day, didn't he?
First, it was his new girlfriend, Gemma, on FBI Season 6 Episode 4.
Then, it was a wild card of a Muslim FBI agent who served as a funhouse mirror for Omar.
Let's start with the latter first, since it was the more intriguing of the two storylines.
We can all agree that Gemma is a mistake that Oa hasn't recognized yet.
Hassan, played by English actor Elyes Gabel (Scorpion), had a chip on his shoulder. He felt that he had to do more just to be accepted by the Wasps in the FBI.
As Oa explained to Hassan, he saw himself as an FBI agent, not a Muslim FBI agent.
They're both likely fooling themselves.
Oa can't ever escape the fact that others will view him as Muslim. But there's always going to be a place for someone such as Hassan who can...

NBC has given a series order to “The Hunting Party,” a high-concept crime procedural from JJ Bailey and Jake Coburn, with both serving as executive producers, writers and co-showrunners.
Created by Bailey, who also wrote the pilot script, “The Hunting Party” follows a small team of investigators who work together to track down and capture the most dangerous killers the country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist.
Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio behind the series, which isn’t surprising as Bailey has an overall deal there while Coburn has a first-look deal.
The order for “The Hunting Party” comes as NBC has already ordered three other pilots for next season, including “Suits: LA,” an untitled Reba McEntire-led comedy and more recently, a pilot for “Grosse Pointe Garden Society” from Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs.

In the spring of 2020, a handful of shows developed to air on the basic cable channel FX instead debuted exclusively on Hulu. It was an attempt to better integrate different parts of the Disney corporate family in the aftermath of Disney acquiring most of Fox’s film and television assets, as well as an acknowledgment that more and more viewers were waiting to watch shows on streaming. Cutting out the legacy media middleman just seemed like a logical next step toward the medium’s future.
It was also, however, extremely confusing.

At times you may think you’re watching a reboot of ABC’s Quantico (2015-18). Then you’re suddenly thrust into a futuristic Minority Report-style sci-fi allegory. Scribe Tom Rob Smith’s (London Spy) intriguingly cluttered thriller Class of ’09, the latest provocative FX drama to go straight to streaming on Hulu, ambitiously toggles between three time periods, when perhaps one would have sufficed. In 2009, we meet an FBI training class, including former nurse and underdog champion Poet (House of Cards’ soulful Kate Mara), disillusioned insurance agent Tayo (Atlanta’s brooding Brian Tyree Henry), Iranian immigrant offspring Hour (Sepidah Moafi) and a few slices of generic and underwritten beefcake played by such familiar faces as Brian J. Smith and Jake McDorman. They’re all put through the physical and psychological wringer, as we’ve seen many times before. The present-day storyline, set in 2023, finds these now-seasoned agents well ...

Since FX moved under the Disney umbrella in 2019, it has sometimes been difficult to find its programming; I’m a professional and I’m often stymied when it comes to which FX shows actually air on FX and which are Hulu exclusives. But FX shows have still felt like FX shows.
The new FX-produced drama Class of ’09 is a puzzlement. One of those Hulu-only offerings, Class of ’09 surely has the air and aura of an FX show, from its sturdy, cinematic production values to a cast topped by FX veterans Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) and Kate Mara (A Teacher) to its creation by writer Tom Rob Smith (The Assassination of Gianni Versace). But what it feels like? Well, it feels like a broadcast TV show from a decade ago — specifically like ABC’s Quantico, a drama remembered largely by Priyanka Chopra Jonas devotees.

In her four decades, Priyanka Chopra has been crowned Miss World, acted in a number of Bollywood and Hollywood films, started her own production company, and even wrote a memoir. Chopra began her professional career in pageants, and after winning Miss World 2000, her acting career kicked off. Chopra made her acting debut in the 2002 international film "Thamizhan" and later starred in "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy" and "Andaaz," but she rose to fame following her role as Sonia Kapoor Roy in the 2004 romantic thriller "Aitraaz." Since then, she has become one of the most popular actors in India and is known for her large body of work in Bollywood - and, more recently, American projects, including NBC's "Quantico," "The Matrix Resurrections," and the new Amazon Prime series "Citadel."

A proper law enforcement show features high-octane scenes, a fast pace, and a few twists and turns here and there.
It becomes much more special if the characters stand out uniquely or develop a bond akin to a chosen family.
Class of '09 is a show set inside the FBI that follows a group of unique characters whose journey to the FBI is not typical. These characters had lived another life before joining the Bureau, which is supposed to make them different from others.
Sometimes, we talk about something taking off before it crashes and burns. But rarely do we talk about something igniting, failing to take off, and disintegrating at an excruciatingly slow pace.
Class of '09 is not breaking new ground, with some excellent FBI shows having been broadcast in the last ten years.
Based on the setting, it might be compared to Quantico, starring Priyanka Chopra. But...

That's one way to do a season (series?) finale.
Simone hit 49 on The Rookie: Feds Season 1 Episode 22, but FBI business doesn't care about such milestones as the team trying to solve the mystery of a buried FBI agent.
Everyone tried to get out of attending Simone's party while Brendon went all out on the gift-giving, causing Antoinette to be concerned.
For a season finale, it disappointed in more ways than one.
The episode's promo promised an insane hour filled with thrilling scenes after an FBI agent would come out of his grave, and elsewhere Simone and Carter would find themselves next to a nuclear bomb.
That's the problem with false advertising.
I understand baiting people to tune in, but it's not fun with the crossovers and these baits that may just as well be poisoned.
Most of the storylines felt truncated. There would be a build-up and then a sudden...

When Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ manager first met her at a Chinese restaurant in Bombay in 2007, they bonded over their mutual love of hip-hop & R&b. “I remember her dancing and singing every lyric of TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ and me being like, ‘Oh my God, this girl’s really cool,'” Anjula Acharia recalls. “I said something like that to her and she told me, ‘I was raised in Queens, baby.'”

A good spy thriller has to have the two staple ingredients: a killer concept headed by a credible protagonist and an antagonist. That said, we are all assured that the cinematic value of espionage thrillers will never be lost.
Having offered some of the greatest action movies in cinema history, and giving us convoluted stories, smart plot twists, blasts, flare-ups and umpteen bangs, ideally, a spy thriller packs in so much as to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Priyanka transitioned to the west almost a decade ago as she explored opportunities in music and worked with the likes of Pitbull and will.i.am, and eventually starred in projects like ‘Quantico’ and ‘Baywatch’, with ‘Citadel’ on the horizon.

You can thank former President Donald Trump for the remarkable rise in TV shows featuring Muslim protagonists – including Hulu’s “Ramy,” Netflix’s “Mo” and Disney+’s “Ms. Marvel,” among others.
Trump’s 2017 executive order banning travel from certain Muslim-majority countries not only fueled the rise of such shows but “led to an unprecedented expansion in [Muslim] representations,” said Evelyn Alsultany, a professor of American Studies and Ethnicity at USC’s Dornsife College and expert on the history of Muslim and Arab representation in the U.S. media.
Shifts in representation often occur in response to a crisis, she said, but this change was dramatic.
“There was something about the Trump presidency that inspired people to act that galvanized not just individuals and organizations but industries like Hollywood,” said Alsultany, whose latest book on the issue is titled “Broken: The Failed Promise of Muslim Inclusion.” “I’ve never seen anything like it before,...

Sometimes, all it takes is the right friend! That's an important relationship lesson from Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who were connected by a mutual pal. When the 30-year-old singer stopped by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in September 2018, Jonas revealed exactly how they met, and how their friendship turned romantic. "We met through a friend," Jonas explained. "We got connected first over text and we started talking for a while and it was about six months before we met up in person. Then we actually attended the Met Gala a few years ago together . . . but our lives were kind of taking us different places."
Interviewers and people in their private circle would ask if they were seeing each other, and the couple would dispel those rumors. "People thought we were being coy, and so did we, until we cut to now we're engaged, so the story sort of wrote itself,...

Hollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jonas has revealed for the first time why she quit her native Bollywood industry in India and started fresh in the U.S.
Speaking on the “Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard” podcast, Chopra Jonas, who was a huge star in Bollywood before she moved to the U.S., said: “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry. The break came in the shape of a music career in the U.S. In 2011, Universal Music Group signed Chopra Jonas to a worldwide recording agreement with DesiHits, and part of the deal was that her first studio album would be released by Interscope Records in North America and by Island Records in the rest of the world.

ABC‘s newest drama series Will Trent revolves around a controversial Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent who isn’t too popular among other law enforcement officers. But the detective that Will Trent clashes with the most is Michael Ormewood, played by Jake McLaughlin.

The Will Trent series premiere makes it clear that the audience isn’t supposed to like Jake McLaughlin’s Ormewood when they first meet him. He is brash, stubborn, ignorant, and abrasive. Ormewood takes advantage of his power as a detective with the Atlanta Police Department and regularly threatens and intimidates suspects and witnesses.
During the pilot, Ormewood doesn’t hold his hatred for Will back. As fans came to find out, Will previously worked on a case that outed numerous crooked cops, and many other officers dislike him for “betraying their own.
