  • Fern Sinclair is a teen girl in Montreal who becomes an orphan. She follows a self-help book to save money and become a millionaire while avoiding Youth Protection Services. She gets work as a dishwasher and as a super in a building.

Young actress Imajyn Cardinal has good charisma in a quiet role. It's a very small Canadian indie. The story needs some more drama and the film could use some excitement. There is an overall sense of tension in Fern's plight. As a small film, it is able to present a good young actress in a compelling situation.
  • Redemption, hard work and tenacity prevail.Top notch acting by everyone especially Imajyn. A lovely realistic portrayal of a troubled teenage woman and her ascent to adulthood. Respect and praise for a heartfelt quality piece of Canadian aboriginal film that celebrates hope, life and it's challenges that we all face at one time or another.
