After the town takes away their daughter's college scholarship, a couple start an illegal casino in their friend's house to make back the money.
Mariah Carey was scheduled to film a cameo but her scenes were never filmed. Will Ferrell recalled that she showed up four hours late, then didn't want to do the scene she had agreed to do. She then delayed production by not wanting to sing the song (one of her own) that she was supposed to sing. This would have required the legal department to clear the song. Carey also required her trailer to be filled with white flowers and stuffed lambs. Carey's scene was ultimately not filmed.

Around 1:11:00 and 1:14:00 in the movie, a scene can be seen two times. It's the one where on can see the cop and counselor's car from behind, as they are going fast.
There is a black car on the left, a grey one on the right, and a white painting on the road. It's obvious this is one scene used twice.
The Warner Bros, New Line Cinema, Village Roadshow Pictures, Good Universe and Gary Sanchez Productions logos are in the form of casino neon lights.
