If it hadn't been for my wife, Carmen, undoubtedly, LABERINTO is a Telenovela that I never would have watched
But now that I have, I must admit that I find it rather enjoyable! When you think of "Telenovelas"....pedophilia, I'm sure, isn't exactly the first thing that pops into your head! But here we have a Colombian Telenovela where the topic is front and center! I'll have to give the producers credit for tackling a subject that, not more than just a few years ago would have been unthinkable.
If you have seen any Colombian telenovelas, you have probably noticed that the acting and production values are, generally, noticeably better than those produced in most other Latin countries. At least, that is usually what I have seen to be true. In the case of LABERINTO, this seems to be more than obvious! Although there are some of the almost universal conventions and shortcomings found in Telenovelas, when taken as a whole LABERINTO does provide some interesting entertainment!
