A wealthy art gallery owner receives a draft of her ex-husband's new novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale.
Based on the book: "Tony and Susan". The book that Edward Sheffield writes in the book is called "Nocturnal Animals" (so the writer chose that title).
Bobby Andes: What?
Tony Hastings: Are you in trouble for all of this?
Bobby Andes: Hell, I don't know. I don't really give a shit. I'm dying. Remember?
Susan Morrow leaves Tony Morrow who is of graduate school age and meets Hutton who is presumably her age in the movie and they have a daughter who is now college aged. Hutton appeared to be much younger than Susan's character like in his early 30's which is true in real life. So he could not have a college age daughter with her.
