| the most visually stunning film I've ever seen
There's hardly anything I would improve about this film. The visuals, concepts, soundtrack, characters, pace, humor and animation are all some of the best I've ever seen in any film; I was worried the hype would ruin it for me, as it always does, but not even the group of kids in the theater who wouldn't stop loudly talking could ruin it for me. It is visually engaging and beautiful in every scene, not to mention with an incredibly unique art style, and is honestly something other animated movies should have to look up to for a long time. The only real issue I can think of is the flashing lights, which really alienates any epileptic audience, but even then it's done so in a beautiful and artful way.

Trivia

One day Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were walking on Olvera Street, an outdoor marketplace in historic downtown Los Angeles, and they were stunned by the number of people in Spider-Man masks. This experience partially inspired the film's idea that anyone can wear the mask. (Stan Lee always said this)

Quotes

Peter Parker: All right, let's do this one last time. My name is Peter Parker. I was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for ten years I've been the one and only Spider-Man. I'm pretty sure you know the rest. I saved a bunch of people, fell in love, saved the ...

Goofs

During the final battle Miles takes away Wilson's gun, stating that it would be cheating. If a gun is cheating, then web slinging devices should be too (both are tools used against foes). However, one crucial difference is that a gun is a lethal weapon, while a web slinger is not. Moreover, Miles was obviously joking when he said that (a typical Spider-Man behavior in battle) and didn't seriously intend to introduce any "rule of engagement", if only because evil villains wouldn't accept any such rules and Miles is smart enough to understand that.

Crazy Credits

The opening Sony, Columbia Pictures, Marvel, Sony Pictures Animation, and Pascal Pictures logos are affected by the Super Collider device, causing them each to shift between various alternate versions.
