When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, the Kingsman's journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the United States. These two elite secret organizations must band together to defeat a common enemy.
Mark Strong, who played Merlin, provided the voice-over for Vue Cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland with regards to cinema etiquette. Exclusively for Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) screenings, he delivered the etiquette message in character as Merlin, reminding audiences to switch off their phones in his own unique style.
Yep, Kingsman is crumpets! Like toast, but British.
Right after Eggsy hits the mine and Merlin takes his place, Eggys tries to argue. Merlin calls Eggsy "Roxy", who died in the beginning of the movie with the bombing of Kingsman. This is likely not a reference to Roxy from the earlier films, as she was willing to help Eggsy but not at all self-sacrificing as Merlin is in this moment based on the fact that she inherited the position of Lancelot.
The "Take Me Home, Country Road" musical theme is heard over the Marv Films logo. This foreshadows the song being used at a pivotal moment in the film.
In Singapore, before the film could receive an NC16 classification the film was edited in order to remove two utterances of religious profanity which was deemed to exceeded the BFC's set Classification Guidelines. Under these Classification Guidelines, "language that denigrates religion or is religiously profane" is not allowed for all ratings.
