Popularly known as the internet’s ‘daddy’, Pedro Pascal has recently been one of the most popular faces in the industry. He has been a part of several renowned films and TV shows. Before attaining such popularity, the actor had also seen his fair share of struggle in his early days when he did not have money to even pay his rent. However, Buffy the Vampire Slayer played a key role during that time and saved his career.

Since Marvel Studios hasn’t had the best luck when it comes to their recent premiers at the box office, they are now locked in heavily with the production and excellent execution of their future projects, the biggest among them being none other than the reboot of The Fantastic Four.
Thus, to make it stand out from the others that came before it, they are putting some serious effort and thought into it.

Along with lining the main characters with a star cast, there have now been alleged leaks and speculative reports of a synopsis of the upcoming film, which is proving to be looking more like a bad thing than good. This short summary of the story has many flaws that the fans have figured out, especially about the narrative taking place in the Multiverse rather than Earth-616.

The actor, musician and troublemaker known for everything from Trainspotting to Fat Les opens himself up to your interrogations
Keith Allen: where to begin? You might know him as the guy who moves into the flat in Shallow Grave and then dies of a drug overdose, leaving a suitcase full of money and three flatmates on the prowl. Or as the dealer in Trainspotting who buys £16,000 worth of heroin from Renton and the gang. More recently he appeared as the dad in Eddie the Eagle and as the baddy in Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London opposite Frankie Muniz, as well as in Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins.
Maybe you caught Allen as a beardy Scrooge in Mark Gatiss’ stage 2023 adaptation of A Christmas Carol. He’s been in The Young Ones, Spaced and Doctor Who. He co-wrote and appeared in the video for...

Do you know the truth behind the identity of Agent Argylle? Matthew Vaughn's action rom-com for Apple starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sam Rockwell first debuted in theaters on February 2, 2024, but the film is already going to be available to watch at home just over a month later. Centered around a reclusive, cat-loving author named Elly Conway (Howard), the woman finds herself at the center of an espionage thriller right out of the novels she's written when a real-life spy named Aidan (Rockwell) realizes that her books reflect the actions of an actual spy organization. The film itself has been extremely polarizing, with the majority of critics disliking the picture, although /Film's own Ethan Anderton aligned with the majority of audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and liked it quite a bit!

Pedro Pascal, aka the internet’s boyfriend, has inevitably performed some of the greatest feats throughout his acting career. But this very acting career and all the star-studded roles he is finally able to land didn’t all come to him served in a silver plate, no. This past Wednesday Marvel Studios made a very special casting announcement via their social media platforms. It was a gift much sweeter and tasty than any Valentine’s Day candy sampler. And it’s been in the works for nearly five years. That’s when Disney officially purchased Fox Studios, which finally brought one of the most celebrated Marvel Comics into the “fold”. In the years before the 2008 launch of Marvel Studios, some of their characters were licensed out to several different studios. Sony still has Spidey, while Daredevil, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four were then at Fox. Dd was brought back in with the Netflix series (and a new Disney+ Maxi-series soon), and Deadpool & Wolverine will rule this July, all the while fans were clamoring for a “new take” on the “first family” of Marvel. Studio head Kevin Feige has teased it at a couple of Comicon appearances,...

First up, there’s the new Matthew Vaughn spy action-comedy “Argylle,” based on a recently released book by one Elly Conway, presumed to be a pseudonym for another famous author, who sold the rights to Vaughn to make this movie even before the book’s release just a few weeks back.

Monday Am: Turns out that high holy day of NFL yesterday which resulted in the Chiefs and the 49ers heading to the Super Bowl did pull guys away from Amazon MGM’s The Beekeeper. While the Jason Statham Miramax title did win Saturday over Paramount’s Mean Girls, $3.4M to $3.27M, Sunday belonged to the Plastics which saw the teen musical movie pull ahead with a third weekend of $6.9M to Beekeeper‘s $6.7M.
Mean Girls‘ Sunday was $1.7M, -48% from Saturday, while Beekeeper‘s take was $1.48M. Worldwide, Beekeeper crossed $100M ($41.5M domestic), while Mean Girls stands at $83M ($60.4M from domestic).
This weekend, Apple Original Films’ Matthew Vaughn directed all-star spy ensemble, Argylle, looks to open in the teens. More on that later.

Matthew Vaughn has shown his affinity for the retro spy genre, as evident in Kingsman and even X-Men: First Class. He has also been able to collaborate with some of the most interesting names in his past films. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Vaughn was able to get Elton John to appear in the film and even partake in some of the action. His upcoming Argylle looks to be just as outrageous as his Kingsman movies, with the over-the-top visual flare.
Argylle is set to have a single from its soundtrack with Boy George, Ariana DeBose and Nile Rodgers. Argylle director Matthew Vaughn has added yet another film to his growing roster of projects: a musical written by Damien Chazelle.
Here’s a sentence I never imagined I would write in a professional capacity: Matthew Vaughn is set to direct a musical, written by La La Land director Damien Chazelle.
Such a prospect is certainly interesting. We don’t know a whole lot about the project at the moment. Deadline reports the news in a bigger piece on Vaughn and his new film Argylle, which had its world premiere last night (24 Jan) in London and is in UK cinemas from next week.
Argylle follows a novelist, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, who goes on an adventure of a lifetime when her books seem to be coming alive in the real world.

For nearly a decade, audiences have been entertained by the secret organization known as The Kingsman in director Matthew Vaughn's series of spy movies that began in 2014 with "Kingsman: The Secret Service." Based on writer Mark Millar and artist Dave Gibbons Millarworld comic book series of the same name, Vaughn's movie adaptation was a big hit that spawned a franchise that has, to date, produced three movies — and more could be on the way.
Be it "Kingsman 3," another prequel film, a spin-off of some sort, or even a TV show, Vaughn seems intent on keeping this universe alive. Updated to clarify entity that was fined: The UK production entity behind 2021’s Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga has been fined £800,000 ($1 million) after one of its stuntmen suffered brain damage after a fall during production.
Joe Watts suffered a broken skull after falling eight metres onto concrete and landing on his head, in an accident during the filming of Fast 9 at Warner Bros’ studios in Hertfordshire, UK, in July 2019.
The BBC reports that a judge considered Watts “lucky to be alive,” after hearing that his safety line became detached during a stunt that was rehearsed but changed during filming. The court heard that the safety line was not checked between takes. District Judge Talwinder Buttar, sitting at Luton Magistrates Court, criticized the decision to alter the stunt “at the last minute,” adding that the matting underneath should also have been adjusted.

Marvel Studios is homing in on a Mr. Fantastic. Pedro Pascal is in talks to star as Reed Richards in Fantastic Four, marking perhaps the most significant casting move since the end of the actors strike earlier this month.
Sources say scheduling is a factor in whether the deal will work out, and the current status of the talks is unclear. Marvel had no comment. The genre-centric journalist Daniel Richtman first reported the news of Pascal’s casting on his Patreon account.
For more than a year, speculation has run rampant over who will star in Fantastic Four, and Pascal’s casting would give Marvel a popular and notable star in the franchise as it seeks to move beyond the Infinity Saga-era stable of actors.
Pascal is is the star of The Last of Us, the breakout HBO series that has a season two in the works, as well as Disney+’s The Mandalorian.

“Kingsman” and “Argylle” director Matthew Vaughn says he sees his spy franchises as being part of the same universe and that at some point they will intersect.
In an interview with Josh Horowitz on his podcast “Happy Sad Confused,” which you can watch above, Vaughn also addressed his potential studio partners for the spy universe.
“What Marvel is to superheroes, we want to be to spies,” Vaughn said. “We’ve got the ‘Kingsman’ on the right. ‘Argylle’ is on the left. We’ve got an idea for something in the middle, as well. We’ve got these competing franchises in a galaxy that one day might meet.”
Vaughn self-funds his movies and distributors don’t see his movies until they are finished (he has said previously that a rapturous response at Comic-Con is what got “Kick-Ass” released). The “Kingsman” movies were released with 20th Century (now Disney) but Vaughn and...

We're still waiting on a third proper entry in the "Kingsman" series (which very well may still happen), but even without the return of Taron Egerton as Eggsy, the franchise may live on in a pretty unexpected way. It was recently revealed by director Matthew Vaughn that a script for a sequel to 2021's "The King's Man," which was a prequel set during World War I, has been written. It would fulfill the promise of the first movie's wild post-credits scene and give us a "Kingsman" movie featuring Adolf Hitler as the villain.
But will it happen? Should it happen? Many questions linger at the thought of this movie becoming a reality.
"The next one is about the rise of Hitler, and how Hitler did come to power and basically was supported by the English aristocracy," Vaughn told Collider recently. The filmmaker, who also directed both "Kingsman: The Secret Service" and "Kingsman: The Golden Circle,...

Director Matthew Vaughn’s 2021 The King’s Man, which served as a prequel to his films Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, only made $121 million at the global box office on a budget that was in the range of $100 million, so you might not expect it to get a follow-up. It was written off as a bomb… until it got a lot of views on the Disney+ streaming service. Thanks to those streaming views, Vaughn confirmed during an interview with Collider that he intends to make a sequel to The King’s Man. He doesn’t know yet if it’s going to turn out to be a film or a TV series, he does know exactly what the story is. It’s going to deal with the rise of Hitler, and the title is The Traitor King.

Sunday Am Writethrough after Saturday Am update: As the Hollywood labor stoppage continues, the 2023 box office rally rages on, as domestic box office soars past $6 billion, +22% over the same January-August period a year ago. This weekend for all movies stands at an estimated $178M. This is the fourth time in box office history to have four movies cross $25M; the last time was Thanksgiving weekend 2018.
We always knew this weekend would beat the first frame of August a year ago ($92M), and that’s happening at +94%. But the current Friday-Sunday is also kicking the first weekend of August 2019’s $148.99M by +20%, and that’s when Hobbs & Shaw ruled the chart.
Barbie remains box office queen bee with $53M in weekend 3, after a $17M Friday and $20M Saturday. By Eod, Barbie is roughly $40M shy from passing the half billion mark at the domestic box office, with her gross set to stand at $459.4M.

When supervising locations manager Andrew Buckley was looking for the right location to shoot Matthew Vaughn’s third instalment of the Kingsman franchise The King’s Man, Turin sprung to mind. They were coming to the end of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, where they were shooting in Italy’s Aosta mountains in a place called Courmayeur.

Pedro Pascal is the kind of star who seems like he became a success overnight. But of course, appearances can be deceiving. The actor worked in film and television for 15 years before landing what was his first big break on Game of Thrones. Yet, even with his role on that show, perhaps what fans – and Pascal himself – remember most is his epic death scene.

Game of Thrones, of course, premiered on HBO back in 2011. And the show soon gained attention for its complex storytelling, ensemble cast, and uncompromising approach to sex and violence. The character emerges in Game of Thrones Season 4 to attend Joffrey’s (Jack Gleeson) wedding.

“I was born in Chile and nine months later my parents fled Pinochet with me and my sister to the US,” Pascal continued in his opening monologue. “They were so brave, and without them I wouldn’t be here in this wonderful country. And I certainly wouldn’t be standing here with you all tonight.”
The 48-year-old actor began performing on screen in the late ’90s, appearing in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “NYPD Blue” among other popular TV series of the time. Pascal made his feature film debut in Julia Solomonoff’s “Hermanas” in 2005, and would later appear in “The Adjustment Bureau,” “Sweet Little Lies,...

People showing up at your door without warning can put you in an imposition. Meanwhile, people arriving at your place soaked in blood in another story altogether. What’s your first question for this guest? Do you help them hide the body? Julianne Moore is about to find out because Apple Original Films is ready to cast the leads of Echo Valley, a thriller with a script from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby. The project stars Moore and Sydney Sweeney as a mother-daughter duo. Michael Pearce directs from Ingelsby’s script, with production from Scott Free Films and The Walsh Company.
In Echo Valley, Moore plays Kate Garrett, a woman recovering from a personal tragedy while boarding and training horses at Echo Valley Far, twenty-two remote, Bob Ross painting-worthy acres in Southeastern Pennsylvania. In the middle of the night, Kate’s recalcitrant daughter, Claire (Sweeney), is covered in blood at her doorstep beside herself.

First announcing it two years ago, the English director has written an adaptation of Stefan Zweig’s novel The Post Office Girl, published posthumously in 1982. One of Wes Anderson’s inspirations for The Grand Budapest Hotel, the book is set in post-wwi and follows a female post-office clerk who lives outside Vienna.
Last year the director told us, “We’ve been on this three years now. The script is written and we’re raising the money. But, you know, it will be a co-production, which means if one domino does fall, then everything collapses. It’s the same thing. You know, it took six years to get Benediction onto the screen, and that’s a long time. It’s a long time. And you begin to...
