A comedy about a small New Jersey town on the night of Orson Welles' legendary 1938 "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, which led millions of listeners to believe the U.S. was being invaded by Martians.
The barn featured in the movie is an authentic 1930's era structure up-kept but not upgraded for decades. It was a working cattle farm for years.
When mayor Clark Hill (Tony Hale) is playing his song and supposedly accompanying himself on guitar, his left hand does not move up and down the fret board and finger chords the way it would if he were really playing.
