How can I describe this almost pathetic attempt of a film well firstly I was ripped off by the Amazon ratings clearly done by the people involved with the project, but the good news is the IMDb users are right on the mark with the rating although I think 3.6 is way to kind for this garbage. The whole story was a joke quite honestly wait I mean the no story was quite funny actually! The ending was poorly done and I feel sorry for the actors who agreed to even be in this I am sure they can recover but man what a turkey of a film to be in.

I just had the chance (wish I didn't) to view it. As I will usually state when a film is really bad to absolutely terrible, I preemptively will say "I won't write much about this film".....,and I'm sticking by that self imposed rule.
Let me not bore you with the hum-Drum details of the "Plot"? of this film as there really was none. It was a mishmash of one dull scene to the next. To call this a thriller is not only wrong, is egregiously misleading. This was more of a first year film student attempt at a comedy/Drama. There was not one single scene that was thrilling.
1. Acting horrible 2. Direction horrible 3. Story line made no sense 4. Cinematography and lighting off! 5. Not a single redeeming moment during the 87 minutes.
I was not a fan of the Directors first film "Misogynist" but thought I would give him another shot. Wow, what a stinker!
Do yourself a favor, go get a root canal or pull your toe nails out with a pliers. It would be more thrilling. -
mikeswain-0539428 May 2017This was basically a student movie had no depth in story the director should quit ASAP and his cast run from any production like this. It's bad all the way no good qualities in any way, the acting was more wooden than my chest of draws and that's wooden. I need to have a drink to get over this attempt of a film. The best part was when I called Amazon and said the movie was playing up as the sound was dreadful. Luckily I watched it for free but my time is more precious to me than watching paint dry.

Luckily it was free as we complained as the sound was so bad I thought it was out T.V no it was the film. There was no story here just a bunch of student film makers trying there best I guess but did not work on any level.

OK where do we start? Firstly the film is rotten and I mean really rotten the directing is a shambles of epic proportions and the writing is basically something a kid that is about 8 would come up with actually the kid would do better. There is no story we were watching this train wreck thinking wait it's a muddle of pieces just hacked together, the whole vibe was a crap soap feel that was comical at times. The director whoever he is should really ask himself why he even is doing what he is doing as the blocking was even bad. I bet it's a vanity project trying to be artistic well dude you fouled up big time. If you want to have a good laugh this is the film because that's all your going to do.

I had seen the director's debut film "Misogynist" which I enjoyed, and saw an early viewing of "Sable" and definitely see the evolution in scope, story and visual aesthetics.
The film reminded me of a blend of a Guy Ritchie film and True Romance, with the performance of the film going to the young drug dealer son Colton (played by Chris Petrovski, who I had seen on Madame Secretary as well). The father is also played brilliantly by Jon Briddell and Ayla as the title lead character rounds out a nice tight cast overall.
I'd say the strengths would definitely be the visual style and also the lead performances. I would love to see what can be done on a bigger budget, but definitely worth a watch.
That being said - saw a few other reviews on here and it's a real shame when they are blatant trolls who just make fake profiles and vote down indie films for whatever their agenda is when it is obvious they have not even seen the film and just created profiles recently out of their own angst or jealousy. Indie films need love too! Would definitely recommend the film! -
When i browse on Amazon granted there are many bad new films but this one is so bad it makes many of the student films look like Oscar contenders. The only decent thing in this film is the lighting in some scenes and that is it, and that is not what you want if i want decent lighting i will head to my local Apple store for that. The whole story was a mess up of certain wanna be thrillers from the 90s. Do these people not realize this was done way back in the day but with a proper film crew and team.

cheno1031 June 2017I sincerely don't think I've ever seen a worse movie in my life. Clearly the director has no sense of what a movie should be. I was not able to make it through this piece of garbage Michael Matteo Rossi would call a "film". The acting is decent at best. But I cannot stress enough how terrible the clear lack of directing, writing and overall horrid plot are. It's laughable how atrocious this is. Truly a waste of anyone's time. Don't even bother.

chrisbent-9801714 July 2017i like to go into indie movies with some hope but this attempt of a film is hard to get round because it was so poor there was no story but a mess of cut scenes that made no sense in any shape. The whole feel is a notch above student and i am being very kind saying that i suppose people think lets make a film that is going to suck and tell people its awesome well its not and i was just wasting my precious time on a 99cents worth movie.

Truth be told I could only watch 20'. Then I vomited in my mouth and I almost choked. So sorry I cannot give you a comprehensive critique other than that this is one of the most laughable, tepid, B. A. D. movies ever made. To the makers of the movie: if it is not too late, do yourselves a favor and become plumbers.

mialee-018293 May 2018My friends rented this tribe at RedBox and I cannot believe what a pile of crap this was, the whole thing feels like a student film with a touch of home video at best. We drank so much bud that we had to piss on the dvd and I don't care losing the $. It felt like it was filmed on a 5k budget at best with bad lighting and the worst score you could imagine. The acting was lame and the director whoever he is simply cannot direct his actors in any way. Please let the real film makers do there job, and you guys please go back to school or just quit and we will stop then pissing on your dvd lol.

There is absoluetly nothing good to say about this movie.. I'm just surprised that 2000 people supposedly watched this movie and felt it was worth a 7.3 rating. It does not deserve a 1 rating but i have to do my part to try and bring the rating of this movie to a realistic 1. Shame on the makers to scam fake reviews when they know they have a piece of garbage.

disantedaniela24 June 2017I had been dying to watch 'Sable' ever since I had watched the trailer. I was very excited when the film was finally released. As much as I like collecting DVDs, I was gutted to find out that, as I'm based in the UK, I couldn't buy the online version from Amazon, which meant that I still had to wait several days before I could watch Sable and I was just so impatient. I've now finally gotten to watch the film and it certainly was worth the waiting. The acting is consistently great throughout the movie. I did get emotional and the characters got me thinking about different aspects of life. This can only happen with talented and professional actors, directed by an equally talented and professional director. Another key factor is the story that lies behind. You need a interested one with a well written script to make a great movie. I can confidently say that Michael Matteo Rossi did an incredible job. I find it very inspiring that someone so young like Mr Rossi can pull something like 'Sable' together. I highly recommend that you watch this movie. I was hooked from start till end and I'll surely watch it again soon!

This "film" does nothing for almost two hours then gets really vague about the title character getting sexually abused by a gang of rich guys then rubs your nose in it for like ten minutes. A bunch of awkward dinner conversations and time jumps you can't tell are time jumps which end in an unsatisfying way with the bad guy showing up for no apparent reason, literally doing a melodramatic evil laugh, and then killing someone. No mystery, 2nd grade writing, and despite all the extras and locations, someone couldn't afford a tripod.
Don't waste your time. Try literally any other movie. Re-watching Shrek 2 or The Aqua Teen movie would be a better use of your time.
